The next thing I remember is mama
waking me up and explaining what happened. "As you were rounding second the bones in your leg had shifted and snapped. Then once you hit third you had tore your ACL. No one knew anything was wrong until you dropped." Then one by one my teammates and coaches piled in the small hospital room. Even some girls from the other team were there. Since we didn't get to have the ending ceremony at the field. We all went down to the cafeteria and had it there. "Third place... Dallas Fightbirds!!!" announced Mr. Don. "Second place... California Dynastys!!!" Said Doctor Shay. "And Finally.. The NA-USSSA State Champions... MICHIGAN LADY TIGERS!!!" announced Coach Liz. Everybody ran up while Skie, Jill, Morgan, Tay and Gabii carried me up. We had done it! We finally won our First Championship!!! And it was all mine! My grand slam was the reason we won. But I knew this would be the end of my career. I could never play again. Ever.
