We didn't have school Friday because of report-card conferences, so Carison and Miranda invited me over for a sleepover. Carison and Miranda are identical twins, but you can always tell them apart because Carison is a skater girl and Miranda is a extreme girly-girl. They're the richest kids in school, and they're extremely popular, so I don't know why they would ever hang out with me. I always feel like the invite me over just so they can help me, cause my family's a charity case. They're my friends though, and we have a lot in common. When I got to their house that afternoon, I came in to a surprise. Skie was there. It wasn't that much of a surprise actually, because Skie and Miranda have been dancing together since the third grade. Carison and I hung out all night because she knew I had a problem with Skie ever since our little fight yesterday. We played Call Of Duty, watched four R-rated movies, and before we knew it, it was already 2a.m. so we finally went to sleep. Saturday and Sunday, my team had practice from 3-5, and I had nothing to do the rest of the time because I wasn't talking to Skie. We also missed Monday and Tuesday at school because it had snowed. Yes, snow in spring, crazy right? So for those two days off, Ricky and I went over to the Jacobsin's house. We went mostly because Daniel and Sammy needed help with their schoolwork, and Peter wouldn't help them. I only went to drop off Ricky, because mama didn't want him with us for Lila's surgery, which was today. Around 1p.m. mama, dad and I went to the Children's Hospital Cancer Center.

"I thought Lila had a tumor, not cancer. Mama what's going on?" I asked frantically.

"Last night, Doctor Morrison gave us a call saying that they found a cancer in the test results." mama answered.

"So the tumors gone." I said.

Mama replied with a shake of her head. Then dad said "the tumor carries a cancerous disease, so if Lila doesn't receive kemo therapy, she could die in a month or so."

Now I understood why Lila was so scared, because she knew she could die. That night, Lila got the surgery to remove her tumor, problem one done. Now all we needed to get through was the kemo. We were going to stay the night with Lila so she wouldn't be as scared as she already was, but she only wanted me to stay, so mama and dad left. I don't exactly know why Lila only wanted me, maybe because she wanted to hear the song I always sing her. I was right about that. So I sang to her, making up verses for the song all night, until she finally went to sleep.
