Time really does fly by fast. Because it was already Thursday, the first day of softball tryouts. I had been working my leg as much as I could to get it back in shape, I sure hope it helped. Peter, Daniel, and Sammy met Ricky and I at the little bagel shop on the corner before school every day for the past months, but today, we felt like having something more special. So instead, we met at the Diner. We got one huge stack of pancakes and shared it. As we ate, everyone was talking but me. Today was to nerve racking, there was too much on my mind. Earlier this morning, Mama had given me a report on how Lila was doing. We had gotten enough money from family and friends to pay for the surgery Lila needed. On Monday she would go to the children's hospital and stay there a week or more to receive the surgery. Dad even came back to help us, but I couldn't bare looking at him or taking to him.

"What did he think he could do? Leave us then just come back saying he made a mistake and still loved us? No! He made a good choice leaving because our lives were better without him. He can say he loves us all he wants but I won't love him back!" I practically yelled at Gabii and Morgan at lunch.

"Maybe he really does love you." Gabii tried.

"I agree with Dana. You can't just up and leave your family for another one and come back. It's unnatural." Thank you Morgan, at least you understand.

I swear Skie is the only one who understands ME, but Morgan knows how my family works. She practically going through the same thing, but it's a little worse. Morgan's parents have been going through a divorce for a while now, and soon enough it will be passed. They are also trying to figure out what to do with their children. Morgan has four younger brothers, Killian, Parker, Cam and Charlie. The issue is, neither of her parents can afford to take care of the children, and they're not in touch with anyone else from their family. So all the kids could end up being separated or going into foster homes. We try to reassure each other that it will be fine, but we know it will never be.
