GAP : my own version of season 2

Chapter 5

It was getting late already. Her secretary asked permission to have her off and Mon gladly allowed her to have her time off.

Mon was about to leave when she noticed that Sam was still on her desk working. She did not hesitate to approach her.

It's already late, why are you still here?

Sam was surprised to see Mon in front of her.

Mon... Ahm.. Sorry.. I mean Ms. A ( gush I miss her calling me Mon) 

It's alright. I think you need to go home now. The weather is bad. 

Okay. I'll just fix these documents then I'm off. Sam responded.

Sam faced her table already but,

I am going back to England already by tomorrow. Ahm, I was hoping when I could, Ahm... Never mind, maybe some other time.

Mon turned around and walked away. Sam was supposed to say something but it was too late. 

Mon is now in her car. She could not drive yet because the weather is so bad. It is raining too hard. She called her secretary to check on her and she is already at her hotel room.

Mon's mom is calling, she is worried about Mon because of the weather. Mon assured them that she is all good. She will just drive slowly.

When Mon was about to leave, she saw Sam, trying so hard to use her umbrella but she is now getting wet because of the heavy rain.

Mon immediately stopped her car and opened her passenger door.

Come on Sam, you'll get soaked in the rain. get inside now.

Sam even though she is hesitant, accepted Mon's offer.

Mon instantly took the towel in the backseat and wiped Sam's arms and her face and hair. 

You'll get colds with what you are doing. You should have waited for the rain to stop. You'll get sick, why are you so stubborn most of the time, Sam. Mon blurted those words unconsciously.

Sam is surprised with Mon's words.

Sorry. I was just, ahm, trying to catch the last bus in the station. 

Bus?  you're taking the bus now? why? where is your car? I saw it yesterday. I saw Kirk using it. And why he does not pick you up from work. And why are you working now?

We did not get married, Mon. I left the mansion and never went back. I sold my house. I sold my car to Kirk, that is why you saw him using it. Grandma pulled out her money in my company so I don't have a choice but to close it.

Mon is so shocked to hear all of it. 

Why didn't you push through with the wedding? Mon asked, her voice is getting shaky because she felt bad for Sam. She did not know.

Sam was so quiet and did not know how to start answering Mon's questions.

I think we'll just have to leave it this way Mon. You are okay now and I am happy to see you achieving all of this Mon. You deserve all of this. I think it was just right that you left.

Mon is just staring at Sam. She really wanted to know what happened. But she could not find the words on how to ask Sam. Her tears are starting to well in her eyes.

I am happy Mon that you finally have your own family. Whoever he is, I want to thank him for saving you from being broken.

Mon is now confused about what Sam is saying.

Then suddenly Sam opened the door and got out of the car. She ran fast and Mon could no longer see her.

Damn it. Why did she do that? And what  is all of that. Saving me. Family. Sam you're still the one in my heart. No one can replace you.

I think she is the one who moved on already. She is the one who already has something else. Nita. I think she and Nita are a couple now. Damn. She hit her steering wheel.

Mon started to drive slowly and was still trying to check the sidewalk because she might be able to see Sam.

What a night for Mon.

I thought I could finally talk to her, but it's becoming more complicated now.

She could not sleep thinking about Sam.

I still want to know what really happened. I still want to talk to her.
