Hashirama flashed in front of Madara just in time, and kicked the off-guard Saburō hard on the chest.
Saburō flew back hard, cautiously eyeing Hashirama from a fair distance away, Hashirama turned around and glared at Madara with evident hurt.
"You- Why're you-?" Madara started stuttering but Hashirama cut him off immediately.
"Why were you so reckless? Why didn't you tell me anything? Why must you hide everything away from me?" Hashirama bombarded Madara with questions before noticing the shallow blood pool that was gradually forming under Madara.
"I-I'm sorry..." Madara apologized as he started to sway, only noticing how much blood he was leaking now. "I just wanted to protect you."
Hashirama heard these words and felt tears gathering in his eyes. Geez, I was so worried though, don't you understand?
Hashirama quickly placed a hand on Madara's arm and used the second stage of his healing powers to make every wound disappear in three seconds.
Madara watched as he felt brand new, then started to panic all over again as he watched the slight twitch in Hashirama's facial expression.
"Hashirama, did you just use-" Madara began but Hashirama cut him off.
"I'm fine, it just makes me feel a bit tired afterwards." Hashirama reassured, but Madara did not feel reassured in the slightest.
"Hashirama, you better promise me that you won't ever use-" Madara began but this time Saburō interrupted them.
"You two are just like a bickering couple, you're lucky that I didn't decide to attack you during your little conversation." Saburō stated, drawing closer while carefully eyeing Hashirama.
"You wouldn't have won either way." Madara retorted coolly, watching Saburō's face twist after hearing his words.
"Humph, how dare you try to hurt him." Hashirama spoke up with disapproval, clapping his hands together and activating his wood style jutsu. Saburō noticed the ground crack and jumped back a few times just as thick wood twisted out to grab for him.
Saburō glanced at the fully healed Madara and then at the thick wood spurting from the ground, then he looked back at Hashirama.
This bastard must be that Senju. If so- then I'll have to keep him alive.
Saburō dodged the wood a few more times before his ankle was caught by it, the wood quickly wrapped around his leg and swung him hard against the ground.
"C'mon, Madara." Hashirama called out, turning around to watch Madara stand up and give him a grin.
"Let's beat the sh*t outta him." Madara declared as he tightened his black gloves, gripping his katana while coolly combing his black fringe back with a hand.
Hashirama watched this and smiled, he'd wished they could fight together like this for a very, very long time.
Saburō climbed out of the hole in the ground and swung his katana at his side, red eyes glaring ahead.
Hashirama ran ahead and clapped his hands again, creating a massive forest of mobile wood around Saburō. Madara jumped up and formed the correct hand signs, taking a deep breath in and letting out the billowing flames.
Saburō desperately dodged the wood that came after him, now dodging the additional hot flames that followed.
Hashirama flashed in front of Saburō and kicked his clenched hands hard, causing his katana to fly high into the air and away from the twp.
