2 Days Later...

Hashirama finished the last paper in the stack before turning to look at the two other untouched piles.

Whether it's reports or paperwork... it never finished.

Hashirama made the mistake of turning around, looking out the large clear windows and gazing at the clear blue skies.

Today would've been a perfect day to go out, Hashirama thought sulkily. But ever since he left my hospital room, he's totally been avoiding me!

"Anija!" Tobirama suddenly opens the door and storms in, taking Hashirama's expression in with a raised eyebrow. He's obviously upset that Madara hasn't come to visit him.

Tobirama walked over and tapped the table with his finger repeatedly until his brother finally stared him in the eyes.

Speaking of which... Gento has taken the whole week off all of a sudden too.

"What? Tobi? Tobi!" Hashirama kept calling Tobirama's name until his mouth almost went dry, raising his own eyebrows to ask what he wanted. This seemed to be a wake up call to Tobirama and his actions resumed to become rushed once again.

"Mito Uzumaki has already arrived! You're to meet her in an hour." Tobirama spoke but Hashirama stared at him with a look of complete blankness.

"Who's Mito?" Hashirama asked with utter confusion, brain trudging slower than his thinking. This received him the most unimpressed look that Tobirama has ever mustered.

"Mito Uzumaki, the heir of the Uzumaki Clan and the women you're engaged to!" Tobirama reminded him, instinctively taking a step back as this time, Hashirama began to panic. Slamming his hands against the table and jumping up onto his feet in sheer panic.

"So that's why he avoided me!" Hashirama blurted in both fear and realization, this achieved him another of Tobirama's disappointed faces.

"You're seriously worrying about another man when you are on your way to see your future wife?" Tobirama asks with a slight mock, emphasizing the words 'future wife' in hopes his brother would realize that he was going to marry that woman.

But Hashirama could not deal with his brother's sarcasm, instead he was praying he wouldn't bump into Madara during this event...

If... if he did come. Will he be angry?

"Are you even listening, Anija?" Tobirama asks, his mood becoming rockier due to the abnormality of his brother ignoring him.

But his constant queries seemed to tick Hashirama off slightly.

"He's not any man, Tobirama." Hashirama answered in a serious voice, walking over and placing a hand on his little brother's shoulder. "And I didn't exactly have an option whether to marry or not, did I?"

Tobirama heard the sharp words and immediately felt guilty, opening his mouth quickly to retort.

"You're the one who agreed. Besides, it was a perfectly good fit." Tobirama explained, putting on his reasoning voice. This seemed to tick Hashirama off even more, to both of their surprise.

I didn't want to get married, especially after killing my best friend. I felt I was undeserving of it. Hashirama remembered back on it and grimaced. Perhaps back then I agreed to the arrangement because everyone said I should get married at my age, perhaps I agreed because it benefitted my village greatly.

"Tobirama, I'm sure you already know this." Hashirama begins, faltering for half a minute before summoning all his courage, ignoring all that pride he should've had. "I love him. Naturally I do not wish to be wed to someone I do not love."
