It was less than a week ago when Tadashi and Mito held their marriage ceremony; it was one of the grandest and most celebrated marriages in history.
Yes... Less than a week ago.
Tobirama massages his temples as he glared at Hashirama with a menacing glare, accompanied with an exasperated frown.
"Did you just say that you're retiring???" Tobirama asks with clarification, expression doubtful as he felt his heart pound faster and faster against his chest.
"Mn, I'm going to move towards the edge of the village and settle in with Madara in a new house." Hashirama explains, failing to notice now Tobirama's eyes slowly widened with each word he uttered. "It's kind of in the forest, it's this pretty large area. And it's really nice 'cause-"
"...." Hashirama finally shut his mouth as he noticed his younger brother's anger, his smile faltering as he scratched the side of his face. "Um... I guess you aren't happy?"
Gento, who was watching fearfully from the side, quickly ran over to stop Tobirama from jumping onto Hashirama.
"Are you really going to retire and live in a house with that bastard!" Tobirama demands, looking on the verge of crying as he tries to punch or kick his older brother, who to his annoyance, nodded obliviously.
"Well, we've decided on getting married too." Hashirama adds, his face brightening as he finally remembered what he'd forgotten to mention before. Gento relaxed slightly as Tobirama froze in his actions, his expression completely dumbfounded, then he began to quickly struggle even more.
"Anija!" Tobirama reaches out a hand towards Hashirama but his elder brother skillfully avoids it, giving him that benign laugh of his as he walks over to the door.
"I've already told Gento-kun so inquire him for the details later~" Hashirama answers, clearly in a good mood as he hurries out of the office, closing the door quietly behind him.
Gento was unnerved as Tobirama stopped struggling again, his face was nowhere to be seen with his back facing towards Gento.
"I can't believe he's actually marrying that bastard." Tobirama mutters threateningly, but as he turns around, streams of tears fall down his face as he pulls Gento in for a tight embrace.
"You really love your brother, don't you?" Gento says with helplessness, smiling as he gently pats Tobirama on the head. Feeling Tobirama nod his head, he tried his best to hide an amused laugh.
Hashirama closes the door quietly behind him before he turns around, eyes lighting up as he sees Madara waiting in front, a slight smile on his face.
"What did he say?" Madara asked as they began to make their way back down the steps, greeting others every now and then as they did so.
"Hmm, he seemed angry. But he didn't say much." Hashirama explains whilst placing a hand over his chin thoughtfully, noticing that Madara let out a snort.
"Yeah I heard, if the bastard had actually hit you, I would've rushed in to clobber him up." Madara admits, smiling casually as if he'd not just threatened to beat someone up.
"Haha... I'd rather the two of you not fight though." Hashirama mutters with a weary sigh, eyes widening as he feels Madara's long fingers approach to entwine with his.
"Don't worry, I won't actually do anything you don't want me to do." Madara reassured with a cheeky smile, raising Hashirama's hand to give it a gentle kiss.
Uwaaa, Hashirama's face quickly flashed bright pink as he covered his mouth with flusterment. He's so handsome, he fanboyed as he watches Madara flash him a happy grin.
