Chapter 6

Jane pov

After leaving McKenna I went to find my mom to try out the suggestion McKenna gave me and let's just say it didn't go the way I thought it should have

My mother refused to use her magic to make me pretty like the other girls saying that outside appearance didn't matter and that who you are in the inside only matters

But you didn't think that way when you made Cinderella all beautiful for the ball I said

Jane that was totally different mom said

It's not that different. I said as my mother looked at me

Jane you are a beautiful girl just the way you are. you don't need to change yourself. Mom said

I was getting nowhere so I just dropped the subject as I remembered McKenna's birthmark and thought it looked familiar

Mom can I ask you something? I asked

Sure dear. Mom said

Can you tell me about princess Anastasia? Our history teacher ms Merryweather had mentioned in class that the anniversary of her disappearance was coming up I said

Oh. Sure. Well there's nothing really much to say since she was just a baby when maleficent stole her mom said

Did she have a birthmark like Audrey? I asked

"Yes. While Audrey was born with a rose on her shoulder Anastasia was born with a crown meaning she was the next in line to be queen." Mom said

Right I remember learning about that.  if Anastasia died then Audrey's birthmark would change to a crown I said

Yes that's correct. Mom said

So that means Anastasia is still alive I said

I suppose it does but sadly we never found the lost princess and was just presumed she was killed mom said as I nodded

Or she was just kept hidden after all theses years I said as mom looked at me

Why the sudden interest in princess Anastasia? Mom asked suspiciously

It's not sudden. I was just wondering that's all. I have to get to class I'll see ya later I said as I  left my mom's office

Fairy godmother pov

After Jane left I grew more and more suspicious about why Jane wanted to know about the lost princess since she hasn't shown much interest before so I decided to pay Merryweather a visit since this was her free period.

Oh fairy godmother I wasn't expecting you. Merryweather said as she saw me enter the room.

I know I just was wondering why you made it a point to mention that the anniversary of Anastasia's disappearance was coming up to your class I said as she looked at me puzzled

What are you talking about? I wouldn't have said that in front of the students. Merryweather said

But Jane said that you did when she can asking about Anastasia. This doesn't make any sense. Jane wouldn't lie I said

Wait what exactly did she ask you? Merryweather asked

She asked about Anastasia's birth mark and she made it a point of telling me that Anastasia was still alive since Audrey's birthmark never actually changed like it would have if Anastasia was actually dead. I said

Well I wasn't gonna say anything but you know McKenna the new student from the isle? Well she's in the class before free period and she was wearing her cheer uniform and I saw what looked to be a crown on her shoulder Merryweather said

What?!? That can't be! I said

I know but I could be wrong. Merryweather said "Or I  could be right. Just think about it what if maleficent didn't kill Anastasia what if she raised her as her own"

This was insane. It was so insane that it could be right.

You will not say a word of this to anyone until we get proof that McKenna is actually Princess Anastasia. I'll have McKenna's blood tested and run her DNA. I said as she nodded

I hope I'm right. Queen Aurora has been an absolute mess Merryweather said

So do I and not just because of Aurora but because if Audrey is made queen of Auroria it'll be terrible. I said as I left the room
