McKenna pov

After maleficent brought Ben to the moors I quickly took him to another room and told him what maleficent told us and how my mom confirmed what she said and how maleficent no longer desired to steal the wand.

So what now? Ben asked

Well maleficent has requested to stay here in the moors since this is her home and she also wants Diaval to come back here with her. I said

Do you think that is a good idea? Ben asked

Yeah I do. I truly believe maleficent can be good I said

Some won't think that way. Especially the ones on the royal council Ben said

It doesn't matter! Your the king now they can not like it all they want but you have the final say in what happens. I said as I looked at Ben

Alright how about this. I'll allow maleficent to stay here in the moors for a year under the watchful eye of mother superior and for her to learn to be good before i allow her to come to auradon. And as a show of good faith I'll bring diaval here to stay with her Ben said

Ok. I said as we went back to the others.

So when are you gonna send maleficent back Audrey asked

We aren't. She will remain here in Moors with her bird for a year to learn to be good by mother superior for a whole year before we let her come to auradon I said as Aurora smiled while Leah looked like she wanted to kill me

What?!? Are you insane?!? This could be a trick for her to take over auradon Leah said

Mother that's enough! Maleficent wants to change and you shouldn't get in the way of that. She deserves a second chance. Mom said as maleficent gave her a small smile while Leah rolled her eyes

Well then it's settled. Ben said

Thank you maleficent said looking at me and Ben

Your welcome. We said

Oh and maybe you can use this as a opportunity to have a better relationship with Mal I said

Of course. I wasn't the best mother to her. Maleficent said

Well now you have a chance to make things right. I said as she nodded

We should get back Ben said as I nodded and maleficent used her magic to take us back to auradon

McKenna! Mal said coming up to me with Evie and the boys in tow

What happened? Evie asked as I told them everything and what me and Ben decided to do about maleficent

So I'll be able to visit her? Mal asked

Of course. she's your mother. Ben said as Mal nodded and I noticed Fairy godmother get on Jane and sighed made my way over to them

I love you. But you are on a major time-out. Fairy godmother said

Don't be too hard on Jane. I was the one who put all that crazy stuff in her head. You are beautiful... Inside and out. Your mom got that right. I said as Jane smiled a little at her mom

I guess I did get pretty lucky in the mother department. Jane said

Yeah, I guess so. I said as my dad walked up to me with mom and Audrey in tow

We are so glad that you are back home with us. Aren't we Audrey dad said

Yeah so happy Audrey said with her words laced with sarcasm

Audrey isn't there something you'd like to say to your sister? Dad asked

No. Audrey said as mom gave her a stern look

Ugh fine. I'm sorry for being rude to you and stuff Audrey said as I just nodded

I knew she wasn't sorry and that she was just apologizing because our parents told her too. But I wasn't gonna make a huge  deal about it

Hey ana! Come on. It's time to party Jay said as I smiled and followed everyone to the after party
