Aurora waits patiently for her name for be called as she looks aimlessly around the large waiting room whilst distractedly kicking her legs. Today was Monday, June twenty first, two thousand and twenty one. Otherwise known as the day she'd be matched to the caregivers she'd be spending the next ten years of her life with.

She knew their names. Olivia and Scarlett. She knew they were thirty three and thirty one respectively. But she hadn't met them yet. That's what would be happening today. She was nervous, but also a little excited too. She'd been waiting over a year for this.

You see, when you turn fifteen, you take a test that determines which category you fell into. The options were little or caregiver, sub or dom, master or pet.

The last two options had admittedly terrified the snot out of her when they'd first been explained. Being someone's pet or sub made her feel a little sick. It wasn't that she had anything against the people who had fallen into those categories. It just wasn't something she was comfortable with, nor did she think she ever would be.

It was safe to say she was more than happy to have fallen into the little part of the community when she'd taken her test and gotten her results. A year had passed since then, and she was sixteen now, more than ready to meet her future caregivers.

"Aurora Addams?" A kind voice breaks her from her thoughts, and Aurora looks up to see the receptionist looking at her with a kind smile on her face. "C'mon sweetheart. Your mommies are here." She coaxes as she holds out her hand, and Aurora feels her cheeks flush and heart begin to pound in her chest as she nervously rises to her feet.

At her height of only four foot ten, she doesn't even reach the woman's shoulders, making her feel absolutely tiny as she reaches out to tentatively take her hand. It was warm in her own, the maternal aura surrounding it making her feel a little more at ease.

"Are they nice?" She asks nervously as she bites on the sleeve of her sweatshirt, and the receptionist, who's name she knows now was Melina if her name badge was anything to go by, gives her hand a soft squeeze as she brings them both to a stop outside of the many doors in the large hallway.

She crouches down in front of Aurora with a gentle smile on her face, "They're super nice. Wanna know a secret?" She lowers her voice to a playful whisper as she reaches up to tuck a strand of baby hair behind Aurora's ear.

Aurora nods with a timid smile.

"They're both just as nervous as you are." Melina tells her, and Aurora's eyebrows furrow as she glances behind the woman at the door she assumes both her caregivers were behind. They were? Really?

"Are you ready?" Melina reaches and takes the hand currently occupied by Aurora's mouth, and the girl flushes slightly as she nods her head. Melina rises to her feet and straightens up her pencil skirt before reaching for the door handle.

Scarlett's breath hitches as the door handle twists signalling someone was outside. She tightens her hand around Olivia's own earning a pained grunt from her wife, but she was too busy panicking to really acknowledge the pain she was causing.

Soon, the door was open, and she was immediately on her feet. She see's Melina first, the receptionist who had greeted them when they'd first arrived a little while ago. And then they see Aurora. The little thing was tiny, chewing anxiously on the sleeve of her sweater as she peeks at them around the receptionists back.

Olivia remains stock still in what could only be described as awe as Scarlett steps towards the duo. Not wanting to make herself seem too intimidating, she crouches down and sends Aurora what she hopes was a reassuring smile. It was returned timidity, though unsure eyes do flicker around the room towards Olivia who was still staring at them.
