Scarlett wakes the next morning in the exact same position she'd fallen asleep in. Olivia was curled up next to her, head on her shoulder as the warm breath of her exhales hit her bare skin. Aurora was still on top of her, nestled against her chest as her tiny hand innocently cups her breast.

Scarlett's heart all but melts at the picture before her, so incredibly happy to be able to provide such comfort for both of her girls. With a hand resting against the back of Aurora's head to keep it steady, she cranes her neck ever so slightly and presses a chaste kiss to Olivia's forehead.

The woman immediately rouses at the feeling and lets out a heavy breath as her eyes flicker open, "is everything okay?" She murmurs sleepily as she buries her head into her wife's neck, lazily throwing her arm over Aurora's back.

"Mhh," Scarlett nods, using her free hand to cup her wife's cheek and trailing the pad of her thumb over the soft skin, "Yeah, baby, everything's good." She assures, lips quirking up into a soft smile when she feels Olivia press a gentle kiss to her neck.

"Good." Olivia sighs contently, shifting slightly so her face was only a few centimetres away from the little ones own. "Still snoozing away huh?" She murmurs, reaching forward to gently brush the hair away from her face before tucking it behind her ear.

Scarlett smiles as she feels Aurora stir slightly at the feeling of her mommy's gentle hands, beginning to lightly graze the tips of her fingers over her scalp. The actions combined seem to rouse the little one completely, and she lets out a quiet whimper as she rubs sleepily at her eyes.

"No no," Olivia coos, taking the small wrist in her own, "we don't want to hurt our eyes now, do we?" She asks somewhat rhetorically, and Aurora stares at her for a little while before her eyes fill with tears.

"Uh oh," Scarlett murmurs with a soft chuckle as she catches the unmistakable quiver of the bottom lip. She leans down and presses her lips against the top of the little ones head, and that thankfully seems to be enough to distract Aurora from her impending meltdown. She looks up at her mama with a drool filled grin, and Scarlett laughs softly as she uses her thumb to wipe it away.

"Are we still on for the zoo today?" Olivia asks, pressing a kiss to their little ones cheek before sitting up. She stretches and lets out a quiet groan at the dull throbbing that makes an appearance in her lower back.

"Indeed," Scarlett murmurs, distracted by the little one currently poking at her nipple with her brows furrowed in confusion. Just as Olivia was about to suggest she take Aurora to go and get ready for the day, the baby does a nose dive towards her mothers breast and attempts to latch on.

She couldn't help but snort slightly in amusement as she slides out of bed, and Scarlett sends her a playful glare as she attempts to unlatch the little one. She thankfully manages with little trouble.

"Go see mommy," she coos as she silently gestures her wife over with a pleading look, and Olivia complies, placing her hands underneath the little ones armpits.

However, the second Olivia begins to lift her away from her mama, she lets out a loud cry and attempts to squirm out of her arms. Her strength was nothing in comparison to her mommy's however, and she soon finds herself being carried out of the room.

Scarlett watches them disappear into the bathroom with a small frown as she slides out of bed and pulls on her shirt from last night. Of course she wanted to let Aurora nurse. To see that look of rejection on the little ones face as she was carried out of the room breaks her heart. But they hadn't talked yet, and she'd promised herself she'd get permission from Aurora's big side before she let her do so.

After slipping her hair into a black claw clip, she lets out a quiet sigh as she makes her way into the bathroom. There, she was greeted with the sight of Olivia sat on the closed toilet seat with a teary eyed Aurora on her lap. Instinct tells her that this wasn't their little one, and with a small nod from Olivia as confirmation, she allows the corners of her lips to quirk up into a soft smile as she crouches down in front of the two.

"Why are you so upset my love?" She questions, reaching up and using the pad of her thumb to brush away the wetness on Aurora's cheek. Aurora leans into the touch, prompting Scarlett to continue with the gentle ministrations. "Mhh? Can you tell me?" She attempts to push, but Aurora just shakes her head as her cheeks flush red in what Scarlett could only assume was embarrassment.

Baffled, Scarlett looks up at Olivia in hopes she would know what the problem was. Olivia simply gestures to her own chest before pointing at Scarlett, and Scarlett's eyes widen in realisation. With a knowing smile, she scoops the little one up into her arms before placing her on the counter next to the sink so they were more or less eye level.

"You wanted to nurse huh?" She murmurs, and though her cheeks flush an event darker shade of red, Aurora nods her head, her bottom lip once again beginning to quiver. "No baby, you don't have to cry," she coaxes the little one against her chest and cups the back of her head. "I just needed to get your permission. Little you is still okay with it, but I had to be sure you were too. It's been a while since we last discussed it." She explains, and Aurora nods, sniffling quietly against her chest.

"I-I still want to," Scarlett hears, the voice quiet, but still audible, and she nods her head.

"Okay baby." Scarlett murmurs, hearing the sound of the shower beginning to run just behind her. "Let's get you all clean, and then we can sit and nurse for a while, okay?" She pulls Aurora away from her and brings her hands up to cup her cheeks.

The little one nods, that infantile look slipping back onto her features as she reaches for Olivia who was stood a little behind them with a soft smile on her face.

"Mommy." Aurora murmurs, and Olivia's smile widens as she presses a kiss to Scarlett's cheek before scooping the little one up into her arms. She gives her behind a soft pat as she situates her onto her hip.

"You wanna get the little one sorted first?" Scarlett asks as she gestures towards the large shower, and Olivia nods, preparing to set Aurora down so she could begin getting her undressed. She was stopped just a few seconds later by a quiet whine, and the mothers share a look of confusion.

"What is it pumpkin?" Olivia speaks, and Aurora holds out her arms for Scarlett. The woman takes her easily, "you want mama to shower you?" Olivia asks.

Aurora shakes her head with a small frown as her hands cling to the top of her mama's shirt.

"No?" Scarlett frowns in confusion, bouncing the girl up a little when she feels her slipping. Frustrated her mothers weren't getting it, Aurora kicks her legs with a frustrated whimper. Olivia was quick to step close, resting a soothing hand on Aurora's back.

The little one sends them both a pleading look before pointing to the shower, and it quickly becomes clear for both women as to what the little one wanted.

"Okay, okay. We'll shower together." Scarlett assures, and Aurora lets out an excited squeak as she was set down and stripped. Soon, she was as bare as the day she was born, and after Scarlett had stripped off too, she scoops the naked little one back up into her arms and steps into the warm shower, Olivia just behind them.

"We're going to the zoo today. Were gonna see lots of animals. Are you excited?" Olivia asks as she begins saturating Aurora's hair with the intention of washing it. It had been a few days and could do with a good clean.

Aurora nods her head, "ion?" She asks hopefully as her hands distractedly play with the necklace hung around Scarletts neck.

Scarlett couldn't help but grin at the pronunciation as she switches arms, bringing Aurora to rest on her right hip as opposed to her left.

"Yes baby, we're gonna go see the lions." Olivia grins as she begins throughly coating the girls tresses in shampoo. It was vanilla scented. "Do you know what sound a lion makes?"

"Woof." Aurora proudly states, and both mothers laugh.

"Close enough pumpkin."
