Olivia lets out a quiet hum of content as she continues with the gentle ministrations of combing her fingers through Aurora's hair. The little one was curled up in her arms, head nestled against her chest as she snoozes peacefully with her pacifier bobbing gently in her mouth.

Today was Olivia's day off, meaning that Scarlett was actually able -for the first time in nearly a month, to go into work by herself.

Olivia knew that it was a much needed break for the her wife, especially because she'd admitted just the other night that whilst she absolutely adores bringing the little one to work with her, the amount of work she actually got done was little to none due both Aurora's clinginess and Scarlett's maternal urge to take care of her.

Aurora had been a little disgruntled at it first, obviously confused with the change of routine but after some gentle soothing from her mama -and a promise of going swimming when Scarlett gets home from work- she'd allowed the woman to leave with only a few tears. Olivia had quickly distracted her with breakfast, and after playtime, she'd allowed the little one to dry nurse to sleep for her first nap of the day.

And an hour later, this is where they were. On the couch with the tv playing an episode of Bluey on mute.

Olivia leans down and places a tender kiss to her hairline, nuzzling her nose into the soft tresses and taking in that soft baby smell that always seemed to linger around Aurora. The little ones eye lashes flutter as she lets out a heavy exhale through her nose, and Olivia quietly shushes her as she brings a hand down to place soothing pats to her padded behind.

"Shh, pumpkin. It's not time for little ones to be awake yet." She muses in no more than a whisper, leaning down to place another kiss to the top of the little ones head. Aurora stills again at the sound of her voice.

She nuzzles close to the woman's chest, cheek pressed against bare skin, her tiny hand rising to cling to the shirt that was still pushed up above Olivia's breast from when she'd nursed. Olivia couldn't help but pull her just that bit closer as her lips quirk up into a tender smile, content to lay here for the rest of the morning if it meant she got to snuggle with the little one.

"Are you excited to go swimming?" Olivia asks as she tugs the swim diaper up the little ones legs, pulling it up and over her behind as Aurora contently babbles to herself behind her pacifier. It was around four in the afternoon now, and Scarlett had gotten home just a few minutes ago.

With a kiss to the cheek in greeting to both Olivia and Aurora, she'd immediately jumped into the shower wanting to rid herself of the stress and sweat from the day.

The sound of the shower running slips though the partially open en-suite door, creating almost a white noise sound. Olivia had already stopped Aurora from escaping to her mama three times, and she'd decided that getting her ready for the pool would be the best course of action and a good distraction all in one.

Aurora simply grunts in acknowledgment, her legs kicking slightly harder as if to say yes in response to her mommy's question. Olivia grins as she scoops the little one back up into her arms, figuring that a swim diaper alone should be fine considering the pool was in their back yard.

"Mama..." Aurora babbles quietly as she clings to the front of her mommy's bathing suit, pointing to the bathroom door she knew Scarlett was behind.

Olivia nods her head as she shifts Aurora over to her left side, her arm placed beneath her backside as she uses her now free hand to brush the baby hairs away from the little ones face.

"Mama will be out soon, baby." She promises as she gives the soft skin of her cheek a gentle touch, and though Aurora whimpers, she seems to accept Olivia's words for what they were and settles her head against the woman's shoulder.
