"What would you like to do first?" Olivia asks as she locks the car and takes Aurora's hand, leading the little one over to the large playground. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the woman had decided to spend some one of one time with Aurora whilst Scarlett got some much needed work done at home.

Aurora had initially seemed hesitant to leave Scarlett. She'd been visibly anxious, so much so it almost had Olivia changing her mind and finding something at home to do instead. However, neither women had any intentions of letting the separation anxiety spiral further and they knew it would if they didn't nip it in the bud straight away.

Aurora needed to get used to the both of them, because both were aware that there would most certainly be times in the future that Olivia would be there and Scarlett wouldn't.

Olivia wasn't at all offended that Aurora was most definitely more comfortable with her wife than she was with her. This was all still so new and scary of course Scarlett had welcomed the little ones constant need to be close. It was an unconscious human reaction, one she knew Scarlett didn't regret and neither did she.

But she wanted to be needed too. She wanted Aurora to trust her as much as she trusted her wife and she knew Scarlett was well aware of this. It was why she had allowed Scarlett to coax them both out of the door with playful instructions not to return for at least an hour.

This brought them to now, stood in front of the somewhat empty playground.

Aurora traps her bottom lip between her teeth as she contemplates her options. There was the slide. Swings. Monkey bars. All of it looked so exciting she didn't know what to chose first.

"Okay," Olivia murmurs as she scoops the little one up into her arms, Aurora immediately clinging to the front of her shirt as she begins walking over to the smaller of the two slides. "let's go on the slide first. That looks like fun doesn't it?"

The little one nods as she allows herself to be sat down on the first step of the slide, a gentle hand remaining on her back as she tentatively begins to climb to the top. It wasn't very high up, but to someone so little, it may as well have been ten feet tall and she couldn't help but backtrack with a quiet whimper.

"I'll catch you at the bottom baby." Olivia assures, and Aurora nods her head as she reluctantly sits herself down. When the woman appears at the bottom of the slide in front of her, she only hesitates for a short second before pushing herself forward.

Olivia, like she promised, catches her, and the little one couldn't help but giggle happily as she clings to the front of her shirt.

"Again?" Olivia asks with a grin as she reaches up to tuck away a few fly aways that had escaped the young girls ponytail, and Aurora nods, squirming out of her arms and running back to the bottom of the steps. She climbs with ease this time, and Olivia one again prepares to catch her as she slides down with a little more speed than before.

After a few more times, Aurora decides she was no longer interested in the slide. From her place settled on the woman's hip, she points to the swing set that held both normal swings and ones made for babies.

"You want to go on the swings?" Olivia asks in a gentle coo as she begins walking over to the swings, sensing that Aurora may have slipped into a slightly younger head space. Her suspicions were only confirmed when the little one simply kicks her legs with a quiet whine.

"Alright baby, there's no need to get upset." She soothes, guiding Aurora's legs through the holes of the specially made baby swing. "Hold on tight." She warns playfully as she grasps the back of the seat, and Aurora squeals as she happily kicks her legs.
