An ambulance team was called to the courtroom. The doctor examined Aylin, who had managed to recover. Some parameters were abnormal, so the medic decided to take her to hospital for more extensive diagnostics.
After a half-hour break, the divorce case resumed. Aylin was represented before the court by her attorney.
- 'In view of the circumstances that have arisen, I order that the court decision be postponed,' the court ruled, and Selim lowered his head. These were not the words he wanted to hear. However, the information that the plaintiff was expecting a child completely changed the nature of the hearing. - I recommend that fetal DNA testing be carried out. Once the results are presented, the case will be reconsidered. I decide to adjourn the hearing for two months.
After these words, the court left the room.
- Two months? Why so long? - Selim asked his lawyer. - Can't it be brought forward?
- 'Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do at this stage,' said Metin, tucking the documents into his briefcase. - 'Once we have the DNA result of the child Aylin is expecting in hand, I will try to speed up the date of the next hearing. It was completely unnecessary that this information was said in front of the court.
- True, but she did not know that the court was present, lying on the floor. Otherwise, she certainly wouldn't have said it out loud.
- Selim, is this your child? - asked the lawyer, looking at him. - Then I will already start working on the maintenance provision. However, you must be aware that the court may send you to marital therapy with the welfare of this little man in mind.
- Of course not! - denied Selim immediately. - There is no such possibility.
Soon Korkmaz said goodbye to Metin and left the court unhappy with the developments. He completely did not expect this turn of events. He was angry with Aylin. How could she not tell him that she was pregnant? Otherwise he would have known how to react, just to hide her blessed state from the court. For both her and him, this was not favourable news in the context of a quick divorce. On the other hand, he was glad that she had managed to get pregnant again.
Getting into the car, he called Ezgi, who followed the ambulance to the hospital. He had to find out which medical facility his wife had been transported to. The girl answered after a few signals. After she gave him the address, she wanted to ask how things were going in court, but Korkmaz said they would talk face-to-face as he was already on his way to them.

Twenty minutes later Selim found his friend in the hospital corridor. She, seeing him, jumped up from her seat.
- Did you not get a divorce? - Asked Ezgi, although it was obvious in this situation.
- 'The case has been postponed for two months,' sighed Selim, hanging his sunglasses on his blouse at chest level. - 'Of course, Metin will try to speed up the date, but first we need to have the paternity determination paper in our hands.
- Damn, that came out wrong! - Ezgi put her hands on her hips. - How do you feel about that?
- How do you think? - he replied. - Not a favourable scenario, but what can I do in this situation? There is nothing left for me to do but to be a little more patient. Waiting for the test results will be the longest process. You know it. If you want something badly, time moves at a snail's pace.
- 'It's not hard to disagree with you,' sighed Ezgi, inviting Selim into her arms. He needed the support. - He will be fine.
- What about Aylin? - He finally asked about the girl. He should have done so as soon as he entered the hospital. - How is she feeling?
