For the next few days, Defne and Selim made a happy pair of lovers. They spent almost every afternoon together, fulfilling their desires from a constantly updated wish list. There were two occasions when Turan did not return to the habitat for the night, as she stayed at home with Selim. There was no end to their conversations together, allowing them to make up for lost months without each other and lose themselves in a sense of time being in each other's company.
It's not that they didn't see the world outside of each other. On the contrary, they did not avoid meeting their close friends. However, every day they were able to find at least a moment to be alone with each other for at least fifteen minutes. Love did not mess them both up. It only brought back the sparkle in their eyes.
Every day Selim presented the brunette with a fresh bouquet of flowers, so the room she shared with Özge in the habitat was filled with vases full of beautiful compositions. It was slowly running out of space for more bouquets.
- 'You've been radiant since you got together with Selim,' Özge remarked, sitting on her bed. - You have blossomed anew. I haven't seen you so happy for a long time. It's nice to look at it.
- 'Thank you,' said Defne, placing a vase of flowers on the dresser with which she had changed the water. - I took your advice. Both you and Asli advised me to follow my heart. You know I was not very optimistic about this, looking at my previous relationships.
- In that case, I am glad to have contributed to your reconciliation. - Özge rose and walked closer to the brunette. She hugged her with all her strength. - If someone had told me a year ago that I would try to reconcile you and Mr Selim, I would have laughed in that person's face. I was against the relationship you were building with him. Fortunately, that Özge is no longer there. There is a new one, who no longer arranges the lives of her loved ones. Instead, she supports them through their crises.
- I like the new Özge, although the old one was not so bad," said Defne, stroking her cousin's back. - 'Love for Ayaz has changed your approach to a few things.
- Bu doğru (That's right.) - she replied, taking a deep breath. - I fell in love with him and everything else stopped mattering. I focused on my relationship.
- Özge, you didn't have a fight with him, did you? - Defne asked, looking at the blonde, whose smile had disappeared from her face.
- 'No, everything is fine between us,' she assured her. - There is something I would like to talk to you about. It has to do with Ayaz.
- What is it about? - Defne, pulled her cousin towards the bed. They each sat on the edge of their own mattress, facing each other.
- 'His birthday is coming up,' Özge began, wandering her eyes. - 'I thought it would be a good opportunity for us to see each other. Admittedly, we're doing quite well maintaining our long-distance relationship, but the truth is that I miss him a lot.
- 'Organising a surprise party is a wonderful idea,' Defne announced cheerfully, trying to cheer Özge up. - If you want, I will help you take care of it.
- I agree with you, I have even started the preparations already. However, the problem lies elsewhere,' sighed Özge, burying her face in her hands.
- Get it out of your head at last! - encouraged Defne, growing impatient. -Hadi! (Go on!)
- Ayaz is a very family man. He told me that he always celebrates his birthday with his siblings. I wouldn't want to spoil that,' Özge tried to explain. - 'I thought of bringing his brother and Aylin to Bodrum. And I don't know, how do you make provision for that?
- How should I respond? - She answered with a question, although she shouldn't. - 'Remember when you tried to tell me that Ayaz had caught your eye? - The blonde nodded her head. - My response is the same to that message as well. I have no objection to Aylin coming for her birthday. If you're going to invite her, do it. I have nothing against it. And your boyfriend will be very happy to celebrate with his siblings and you.
