With policemen walking on either side of her, Defne reached the gate of the habitat, behind which was a police car. One of them held her hand, preventing any possible escape.

Turan thought nothing of creating even more trouble for herself. This was the first time she had been stopped by the police. She had never before had to deal with services that are in the business of making sure that the rules of law are followed. She felt the weight of metal handcuffs on her wrists. It was not a comfortable situation for her. She felt the lack of freedom already walking to the police car.

- Should I call someone? - she asked, concerned about the detention of the Janset woman. The woman was saddened to see the officer putting handcuffs on Defne. - You shouldn't have to go through this alone. Someone should be there with you. Maybe I'll let Özge know? -She suggested opening the gate.

- Yes, call Özge. - Defne agreed, turning to face the woman. - Tell her where I am. And I have a request, don't let my parents find out. At least for now. I'll tell them myself when it's all over. It won't take long, will it? - She looked sadly at Janset. Tears were gathering in her eyes.

- Of course. You can tell us how it went and then you can go home. - The woman went up to her and hugged her tightly. - Don't worry, it will be fine - she whispered in her ear, rubbing her left shoulder to reassure her.

- Don't prolong it. - The policeman urged, opening the back door. With a hand gesture he invited the detainee inside. The girls moved away from each other.

Defne took a step towards the uniformed man. He helped her into the police car, shielding her head from the impact, then closed the door and walked around the vehicle to sit on the other side. At the same time, the other man got behind the wheel and started the engine.

Janset stood in the road until the car disappeared from sight. She then went back into the house because she had left her handbag in the hallway when she came with the police officers to look for Defne. She took her phone out of it and dialled the number for Özge.

Özge was sitting at one of the tables inside the restaurant. The air conditioning was working there so the girl didn't feel the high temperature too much. She was creating a work schedule for the team for the coming week when her phone started to ring quietly.

- Hi Janset - she greeted, pulling herself away from her work - What's up?

What she heard from the woman left her stunned.

What police? What arrest?

The girl's throat got dry from the impression, so she reached for a glass with lemonade, which she drank to the end. Of course, she had promised to go to Defne. But first she had to wait for the boss Selim, who was on his way to the restaurant. Without his permission, she did not want to leave the workplace. She could have called Mr Onur as well, but to the best of her knowledge, the man was currently in a meeting. She did not want to disturb him, so she was forced to wait for the other man.

In the meantime, she tried to get back to scheduling, but her thoughts revolved around Defne. The woman couldn't concentrate on the task at hand, so she closed her laptop in resignation. Defne had crazy ideas, but she had never gone so far as to have to deal with the police. The real shock for Özge was that the girl might have committed the vandalism that Janset had told her about during a brief phone conversation.

- Are you all right? - The girl snapped out of her thoughts by noticing Çinar in front of her. The boy had his hand on her shoulder, looking into her eyes. - 'I spoke to you, but you didn't respond.

- Yes?-she became animated, forcing a smile. - I'm sorry. I was just thinking. Could you repeat it?

- 'I came to tell you that the fruit and vegetables that came this morning are spoiled,' Çinar announced, sitting down opposite Özge.
