Defne, of course, agreed to talk to Aylin. After all, that was her goal. First, however, she put Aslan in Janset's care, as that was what they had agreed to do beforehand. Çakir did likewise, asking her accompanying fiancé to take charge of their child.

The two went to one of the cafés located near the park. They sat down at a table in a secluded spot and ordered coffee. They needed a quiet place. Turan continued to discreetly record their meeting. She didn't know how much valuable information her current boyfriend's ex-wife could pass on. It was the first time she had ever done something behind Selim's back that she was not entirely comfortable with. However, she was guided by the fact that she had good intentions and the transcript of their conversation would be evidence of good faith action.

An hour later, Defne arrived at the hotel with her heart beating hard and her hands shaking, where she immediately headed towards Onur's office. His brunette had been privy to her plan earlier. She needed the support she received from the elder Korkmaz. He prompted her to use a dictaphone during the meeting.

- Is it that bad? - asked Onur, getting up from behind the desk, seeing the state his cousin's girlfriend was in. - Sit down here. - Korkmaz caught her under the arm and seated her on the couch. - 'I'll get you something to calm you down, okay?

- Please," she sighed, placing her hand on the back of the furniture. She propped her chin up with it. - I need to shake off this state as soon as possible. I don't want Selim to see me like this. Otherwise he'll realise that I've been talking to Aylin. After all, he asked me to stay as far away from this matter as possible.

- Sakin. (Calmly.) 'For the time being, no one but us knows anything,' said Onur, picking up the phone from the base where he was. He dialled the right number and asked for a brew of lemon balm for two people. He suspected that it would also do him good to drink such a beverage.

After five minutes, the girl at the hotel reception brought them their order.

The man sent her away, warning her not to direct anyone to him for the next little while as he was very busy and needed peace and quiet.

- 'As you wish, Mr Onur,' she announced, leaving.

- 'Since we are left alone, we can continue our conversation,' he stated, sitting down at the other end of the sofa. He took his teacup in his hand. - 'What did Aylin tell you? Unless you prefer me to listen to the recording?

- 'We'll only waste time,' Defne stated, glancing at his interlocutor. - 'What's recorded, you'll listen to yourself later. The important thing is that Aylin has revealed to me to whom she intends to hand over her share.

- Kimmiş? (Who is it?) - he asked, putting the glass vessel down on the table.

- C-Ceren Kaya - she choked out. She could hardly get the name across her throat.

- Kaya... - repeated Onur, wrinkling his forehead. - Wait a minute. I think I associate that name. I've heard it before, but I can't remember where.

- Naturally. - Defne brushed her hair away from her face. - 'That's why I'm going to help you a bit. Do you remember my class reunion from a year ago?

- Are you kidding! Is this the Ceren you told me about then?

- Unfortunately yes - sighed Turan. - That's her. Exactly the same person. I'm not surprised that Aylin is going to hand over the shares to her. I don't know anyone who can stir things up like Ceren. Of course, that now includes Aylin.

- So Selim will fall from the rain into the gutter,' Onur stated, stroking his chin. - Damn!

- That's not all - she chuckled, taking a deep breath. - Wait until I tell you the most important thing.
