Chapter 36

Nothing out of the ordinary happened over the following days.

Defne and Selimem continued to be friends and hid from each other how much one side cared about the other. They could not pierce the boundary that separated love from friendship.

Janset and Kemal continued to try to have a child. They realised that age was working against them, but they were not going to give up, especially since the gynaecologist had given them the green light. That is, he expressed the hope that, with the medication they were taking, they might succeed, fulfilling their dream of having an offspring.

Özge used to meet up with Ayaz in her spare time. They usually had a quick coffee together. The girl didn't find time for more, because her main focus was on her work. - 'I've brought tea,' Selim announced, placing a tray with cups and a teapot on the table. The girl reached for it, drinking the hot beverage even though it was warm outside. Defne stood up from her chair, facing Selim. She turned her back to him with her hand stretched out in front of her, in which she held her phone. She played the trailer once again in the form of a short scene, each frame of which she memorised more and more, focusing on maturing new details.
