You made your way to the sewer you had first been brought to. Cleo tapped her foot as she waited, her back facing you and her arms crossed. You walked up to her gently. "Hey, Cleo."

She turned to you with her eyes wide and her mouth open. She calmed down the moment she saw you. "Oh, it's you!"

"Yeah, hey." You chuckled. "Have you been waiting long? I'm so sorry, my school is a good twenty minutes from here."

"No, I've only been here for about 5 minutes." She lied. She had been so excited to meet you at the sewer that she had left her house an hour early. In reality, she had been waiting for thirty minutes, but she would never tell you that. She didn't want you feeling bad for taking a long time.

"Oh, good." You sent her a sweet smile. "So...should we go?"

Cleo stopped staring into your eyes and focused on the already moved sewer cover. "You first." She offered.

You slowly began climbing down, only looking up to make sure Cleo had followed.

She did.

You reached the bottom and waited for her to finish her climb. Then, she led you through the dark and into the other world.

You never managed to figure out how the sewer transported you to the monster world, but you figured some things weren't meant to be found out.

Once the sun hit your eyes, you knew you had arrived at your destination.

"Welcome to the monster world, (Y/N)." She smiled.

You flashed her a toothy grin as you looked around. Despite you only being there a few times, it never ceased to amaze you. You looked ahead and noticed that Cleo was already a few feet infront of you.

"So where are we going?" You jogged to catch up to her.

"My favorite place here." She grabbed a hold of your wrist and led you down the street.

"Which is?" You questioned.

"Witches Brew."

"What's that?"

"It's a coffee shop, silly." She giggled girlishly. "They have the best coffee ever!"

"Oh, I love coffee!" You said excitedly, and you felt around in your pocket for your cash.

"Me too." Her eyes gleamed. All she had to do was make small talk and she'd figure you out? She already knew a lot of your likes and dislikes, but she hoped that you could tell her the things she didn't know.

It didn't matter anyway. There was no rush. You could tell her all about it when you became her girlfriend.

When Cleo had snapped out of her trance, she noticed the large building across the street. "Look, there it is!"

You stared at the large sign and gulped. Through the windows, you could see many monsters inside. It made you nervous. You had never been around so many monsters at one time.

She pulled your arm and forced you inside. Then, she led you to a table. She instructed you to sit down while she ordered. You waited patiently for her to come back with your coffees, and once she did she sat yours I front of you.

"How much do I owe you?" You asked, pulling the cash from your pocket.

She shook her head and grinned. "Don't worry about it."

"Are you sure?"

She nodded. You sent hera happy smile. "Thank you so much!"

She giggled at your excitement. You acted so unaware of the glaring and disgusted monsters when really you just ignored them.

Cleo focused on you, allowing herself to indulge in her fantasies. She imagined you were on a coffee date. She imagined you two were together. She imagined you lived with her. She imagined no one else would ever see you again except for her.

Was that wrong? Was she being weird?

She shook her head. You finished your coffee not long after she broke from her trance.

She smiled at you. "You ready to go?"

You nodded, and she stood. You followed her lead.

A large mansion came into view, and you gasped as you walked through the gates. She was the richest person you had ever met! The size of her home made yours look like a shack.

You followed her without a word through the golden and white house. Large, crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, and a large stairway sat on the back wall. It was glamorous.

"This is gorgeous." You mumbled. You felt like trash entering such a beautiful home.

"Eh, it's alright." She shrugged. "I wish it was bigger. It's a little cramped in here."

"Cramped?" You scoffed. "This is the biggest house I've ever seen!"

She giggled at your excitement. "Well, I'm glad you're impressed."

"I really, really am."

"Come on, this way." She grabbed your hand and went through a door. You gasped again.

"Is this your bedroom?" You asked.

She nodded. She sat on the bed and motioned for you to follow.

Before she could speak, another girl walked in.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm talking with my friend? Duh." Cleo rolled her eyes.

"Don't get bitchy with me just cause your girlfriends here." The girl eyed you up and down in disgust.

"Nefera, get the fuck out of my room!"

"No."

"I'm telling dad."

Nefera rolled her eyes and walked out lethargically. Cleo hung her head. "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine." You laughed. "If im going to be in this world, I'm going to get a lot of hate."

"Thank you." Cleo mumbled with a smile.

"For?"

"Being my friend."
