Draculaura waited for Clawdeen outside of her bathroom door. Clawdeen had been in the restroom for a while, and it worried Draculaura a bit.
They had agreed to visit you, but before Draculaura wanted to leave, Clawdeen suddenly had to hide in the bathroom.
"Are you done yet?!" Draculaura huffed.
"Yeah!" Clawdeen stepped out a second later. "Let's go!"
Draculaura noted Clawdeens makeup. Which appeared to have been redone in an attempt to make herself seem more put together. Draculaura huffed again. What did Clawdeen think she was doing?
It didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was getting to you sooner.
After driving for what felt like forever to Draculaura, they stepped from the car and to your door.
Draculaura held a wide grin. Clawdeen giggled. "Knock on the door!"
She did.
You opened it to reveal Draculaura and Clawdeen. You held a smile on your face as you allowed them in.
"It's so good to see you again, (Y/N)." Draculaura breathed your name out in a dreamy tone.
You smiled wider. "It's so good to see you!"
"You look so pretty!" Clawdeen batted her eyelashes at you. "I love your hair."
"Oh, thanks!" You reached to run your fingers through your hair. Clawdeen was so sweet!
Draculaura's smile stiffened. Clawdeen was really pushing her buttons.
"Oh, and your makeup!" Draculaura noted the new tones you wore. "It's so gorgeous."
"Th-Thanks...!" You gave a wide smile.
Clawdeen felt her gut turn. Draculaura was competing?
"You know, I could totally use a new model for my clothing. You look perfect for the part." Clawdeen offered.
Before you could reply, Draculaura stepped in front of her. "Doesn't she? She could be a magazine worthy model!"
You felt a blush slowly rise to your cheeks. They praised you endlessly, both participating in the competition they started.
You didn't notice their glares, however, as you were too focused on being pampered with compliments and gentle touches.
They left after a few hours, both finally having enough of the other.
The drive was silent, leaving Clawdeen to glare over at Draculaura every few minutes as she replayed the visit in her head.
Finally, she had enough.
"What's your deal?" Clawdeen spat.
"What's my deal?" Draculaura blinked in confusion. Once Clawdeen's words had settled in, she felt herself boil. "What's my deal?! What's your fucking deal?!"
"Wha-? Excuse me!?" Clawdeen shrieked.
"Yes, excuse you! I was talking to (Y/N) and you came in with all this...this...flirting!"
"You weren't much different!"
"So?!"
"So what is your fucking problem?!"
"I like (Y/N)!" Draculaura sat up straight in her seat. "So what's YOUR fucking problem?!"
Clawdeen quieted down. Draculaura liked you? That couldn't be right!
But...
"It makes sense." Clawdeen frowned.
Draculaura settled in her seat. "Why?"
Clawdeen stayed silent as rage swirled in her stomach. Complicated, hateful emotions filled her. She didn't want to hate her best friend! But her best friend stood in the way of something far more important; you.
"You know..." Clawdeen finally spoke up, ready to tell her so-called best friend the truth. "I like (Y/N), too. Like, a lot."
It was Draculaura's turn to be quiet, and she did so with her hands in her lap and her head pointed to the floor.
"You still don't have to be a bitch, you know." Draculaura cleared her throat.
"Oh, I'm the bitch?" Clawdeen let out a dry chuckle. "You're such a fucking cunt."
"Whatever." Draculaura crossed her arms. "(Y/N) wouldn't give you a chance."
"Says the pick me."
"Hey!"
"Just saying the truth!"
"You know what?!" Draculaura jumped in her seat and faced Clawdeen with a newfound courage.
"What?!" Clawdeen replied.
Instantly, Draculaura stopped. An idea came into her head, and she slowly settled in her seat once more.
"We could work together." Draculaura snatched her phone from her pocket and began typing.
Clawdeen rolled her eyes. "Yeah, genius. Let's just work together, and we can BOTH get the girl!" She feigned happiness before dropping the smile. "You're such a fucking idiot."
"No, seriously." Draculaura stayed focused on her phone. "We'd have a better chance if we worked together."
"And then what? I'm not fucking sharing, Drac."
"No need. We'll let her choose."
Clawdeen gripped the steering wheel hard, allowing her energy to build up.
She sighed. She knew she couldn't get anywhere with you on her own. Maybe a little help wouldn't be bad. Maybe it could actually work!
"Fine. But when she chooses me, you better leave us the hell alone."
"IF she chooses you, remember?" Draculaura held a smug smile.
"Yeah, if." Clawdeen smiled.
Draculaura bit her lip. If only she could wipe that smug look off Clawdeen's face!
She tried to think of something, anything! She just HAD to make Clawdeen take this seriously! They had competition, anyway!
That's right.. they had competition!
"You know, Frankie also has feelings for (Y/N)." Draculaura said nonchalantly.
Clawdeen felt her heart stop. There was even MORE to worry about?
Clawdeen bit the inside of her cheek. "Cleo...Cleo and Frankie have been hanging out more... haven't they?"
Draculaura stopped. "They have..."
"You don't think..?"
"No, no." Draculaura shook her head. "Cleo doesn't like anybody."
Clawdeen raised a brow.
"She doesn't like anyone, does she?!" Draculaura became frantic, the new panic settling in her body. Cleo had it all! Money, beauty, popularity! They stood no chance to Cleo alone, so the thought of Cleo and Frankie working together sent her flying into a pool of overthinking and worry.
"Calm down." Clawdeen instructed. "It'll be easy. We can take them on."
"Y-You think?" Draculaura asked.
"Yeah, of course!"
Clawdeen failed to mention her own worries and doubts. She wasn't sure if they even stood a chance. The only way to beat them was to take you before they could, but what if you said no?
Well, that'd make things complicated.
And Clawdeen hated complications.
