The four agents had no choice. They grabbed their things and took him into the machine and the machine left the twentieth century. Oppenheimer was sound asleep and tied to the floor. The machine sped off back to 2034. After a few minutes, the machine finally arrived in the arrival room. Agent James and Dr. Callard were waiting for them a little further down. Another machine, the one from group two that was supposed to protect Einstein, was also present. They came out carrying Oppenheimer and deposited him in one of the company's rooms. Of course, it was locked with two guards at the door. Agent James explained.
"We decided at the last minute to bring the two groups back. Your protection was compromised.
- But group two was to protect Einstein, right? Yumi asked.
- We brought him back too.
- This is really messed up. Dimitrov muttered.
Agent James ignored Dimitrov's remark and explained that the mercenaries had tried to hack into the company's system. Fortunately, they had not stolen anything, but they would soon try again. After his explanation, Agent James sent them to Dr. Callard. Dr. Callard was in his lab, walking around frantically.
"Oppenheimer and Einstein are here! Can you believe it?
- Да and it's a real mess.
- Finally Dimitrov is an opportunity.
- A danger especially, they will suddenly see our time. How will they react?
- For Einstein it looks okay but I don't know about Oppenheimer, Yumi's sedative knocked him out good.
Callard pointed to his computer. On it were two surveillance cameras, one showing Einstein looking around his room and the second showing Oppenheimer still sleeping. Dr. Callard explained to them that he would be the one to explain to Einstein what was going on.
"And what exactly are you going to tell him? Lena asked.
- I'll just tell him the whole story! exclaimed the doctor happily
Dimitrov asked him visibly shocked.
- Excuse me?"
Dr. Callard put his hand on Dimitrov's shoulder and explained that you can't really lie and keep Oppenheimer and Einstein in a room without any contact. Just give them the drug for memory loss. Lena gave the doctor a slightly puzzled look.
"About that doctor, since when have we had this kind of medicine? I don't remember having to use this before.
- I created it a year ago! But we only use it on very rare occasions. The only one here who has used it is Agent Yumi.
Dr. Callard had a big smile on his face. On the screen, Robert Oppenheimer was beginning to wake up. But how was Dr. Callard going to explain to him the danger that lay ahead for the great scientist? Lena knew that Dr. Callard was sure of himself, but no one knew how the scientist would react. After a few minutes of preparation, Dr. Callard headed to Oppenheimer's room. Yumi turned on the camera mike so the four agents could hear them. Robert Oppenheimer looked slightly panicked when he saw Dr. Callard enter. Callard offered him a cup of coffee and sat down on the chair. Dimitrov stared blankly at the cameras, Yumi and Markus were right in front of the screen, leaving the other two agents behind. When she saw Dimitrov's blank stare, she put her hand on his shoulder and whispered.
"I know you think this is a bad idea.
- It's more than that."
Dimitrov pulled Lena a little further away.
"I think Agent James is hiding something from us.
- What do you mean?
- I think Agent James is part of the mercenary team."
