Episode 7: Lost in Language

[Open on the Owl House living room, where Luz is reading from The Good Witch Azura 5 to King. David is seating on the couch drinking apple blood from the mug and eat cookies that looks like Hooty. Keanu brings in the napkins and handed it to him, before jumping on the couch as Davis pat his head.]

Luz: "Azura," Hecate began. "Our paths have crossed only in battle. But today I stand before you seeking an ally." [Sighs.]

David: Still reading Azura yes? [Eat cookie.]

Luz: Yeah.

King: Luz, you're getting all swoony again.

Luz: I can't help it. Azura is able to befriend everyone. Even her biggest rival. I wish I had that kind of power.

David: Luz, I hate to tell you this, but this type of power doesn't work when you're encountering someone. All you need is to use words of wisdom, not some mind control spells, right Keanu? [Keanu barked with nod. David ruffle his head as Keanu panted happily.]

Luz: I know David, but wouldn't it be awesome to have your rival into your campion?

David: I mean it might be, but I won't buy it. Uhm Keanu, would you kindly go upstairs to grab my jacket, dark green?

[Keanu nodded and went upstairs.]

King: Rivals are meant to be annihilated, not befriended. Now keep reading. I've been sucked into your awful fandom.

David: King's right Luz, rival is a person who is competing for the same object or goal as another, or who tries to equal or outdo another. That's also the reason why King and I are considered rivals.

Luz: You are?

David: Yep.

King: Mhm.

Luz: Why's that?

King: Because he thinks he's smarter than me! I'm the king of demons and I should know all of it better than this kid who can turn into different types of wolves.

David: You just said that to make people feel bad for you, that's not how it works. Besides, [He sits right between the two with Keanu walk towards them and sit right beside King.] I wrote notes about demons and magic spells, unlike he's art about making people worshiping him as the Lord of Darkness or something. [Pulls out a notebook titled "The Study of Demonic and Magic.]

King: [Rolled his eyes.] Pfft, this kid thinks he can make a guidance on demons and he even took some of my notes in my previous lessons! That fact that his writing style is better than mine. [Points to David.] I'm the King of Demon here kiddo!

David: [Sarcastic tone.] Sure, whatever you say, your tinyness. [Chuckles.]

King: That's it! I'm going to burn you and your creation!

David: Wait what? [Get tackled by King.] Ahhh!!!!

[King began attacking him and tries to grab his book, but David is trying to keep his notebook away from him. Luz was just sitting there, watching the whole thing, as she smiles.]

David: Get off of me King!

King: Never! [He crawled his way in David's shirt.] Now it's time for your punishment, by ticking you to death! [Tries to tickle him with this tail, but can't find his weak spot.]

David: Ha! Jokes on you pal! I'm not ticklish!

Luz: King, tickle his stomach!

David: [Gasps.] You snitched! [Started to laugh.]

[Keanu arrived with David's jacket to see his owner being tickled by King. He tries to intervene but Luz stop him.]

Luz: Let them be, buddy. This is payback for what he did to me.
