Episode 12: Adventures in the Elements

[Opens up with the sound of a tape recorder #2 being played.]

T.C. (Audio Recording): [Clear throat.] Hello, this is my second audio log of my documentation. I was planned on doing my research on the strange things in the Demon Realms, but I decided to take a break and go find me something else I can do. So, I went for walk in the Bonesborough and found something very interesting, a book fair. It's very different from the ones on Earth with its own kinds of books ranging from fantasy and mythology.

I went around and pick some of the books that I like. Suddenly, I was about to check these books out when I met this snappily dressed lizard guy who when by the name of Finiet and he asked me if I'm an author, to which I said I was but still working on my research.

Finiet is an odd looking individual I've ever seen, but he said that he is a good businessman who wants me to wrote a book about monsters and magic. I refused since I only focused on documenting my work on this world I'm in. He threatened to make me look bad by calling me a bad author, but I ignored him and left. Just then, Finiet grabbed me and forced me to write a book and if I didn't finish it, he'll squish me with a cube.

The only way to escape is by creating a code to reverse his cube spells and using it to escape. Finiet was defeated by my own trick and I never seen him again. If you want to start a career as a writer, you must be aware when to trust someone. I shall continued writing on my behalf of the research I'm doing and hopefully, no matter how hard I work, I will always never give up. [Tape end.]

T.C. (Audio Recording): Hello, this is T.C. here and this is my third audio log from my previous recordings. I've began taking interesting in hunting the creatures and use it to research their movements and behaviors, kindly similar to other animals I've been seeing back on Earth. I began constructing my own hunting rifle to hunt by gathering materials I collected from wood and steels. I also creating bullets called Gold Stars.

Using the rifle I created, I began taking practice shot before off to the area to hunt the creatures. After hours of collecting species that I found, I heard a large growling sound coming from the cave in the snowy area. Curious to see what it is, I went in, arming my rifle and hunting knife. I scanned the area using a flashlight and all I can find were bones and ice. I was about to leave but then I was attacked by these huge yeti-like monsters.

I manages to hit one and then one of them knocked my rifle out of my hand and began trying to eat me, but I killed in using my knife before I grabbed my camera and take a picture of it. The others began chasing me until I managed to get out of the cave and went back to my house to reflect on what I shave encountered. I called these yeti creatures as a slitherbeasts. If you ever one to find one, make sure to equip yourself and stay on guard for any future attacks. Oh and also, be careful of walking in strange place you don't know, so, don't let your guard down. [Tape end.]

[Open on the Owl House living room. Luz is reading a pamphlet about Hexside, labeled "Hexside Facts and Trivia." It has a picture of Principal Bump on the back along with his quote, "Education is the real magic." David is reading The Demon Realm Journal Volume 2 with Keanu sitting beside him.]

Luz: Hey David, check this out. Hexside teaches witches from a young age up until adolescence, and as such includes a kindergarten section of the school for younger witches.

David: Really? I didn't know they would teach magic to younger kids, I wish we could learn that back in our world. That would be awesome.

Luz: [Chuckles.] You always wanted to get into the action huh?

David: It's what I do, learning about algebra, count me out.

Luz: King, listen to this!

King: [Laying on Luz's stomach.] Hey! Less read-y, more scratchy!
