A large book slammed against the desk, Luz quickly raised her head almost falling off her seat and looked around in confusion.

"Did you had a pleasant dream miss Noceda?" hissed the teacher. "Huh?" Luz blinked few times and then she remembered. She was in a school sitting next to her friend Willow at English lesson.

People around started to giggle and whisper. All eyes were on her. Luz's heart started to beat faster, she could feel her face turning red.

"I'm sorry." she murmured and kept her gaze down.

"You should've gone to the bed earlier, instead whatever you were doing last night." said the teacher with harsh tone and returned to her desk.

"She got lost in her fantasy world again"

"Do you think she was preparing another class attack with snakes and fireworks?"

"The teacher should've let her sleep, she was harmless at least then"

Luz closed her eyes and sank into her seat, wrapping one of her arms around her waist. She did it when she felt nervous. Luz was breathing through her nose, trying to calm herself down after that big embarrassment and don't start crying.
In her mind she was cursing herself for falling asleep in a class, that she just give people another reason to spread roomers about her! She might have to go to the principal's office again, witch she already hated walking by every day. What if her ma is going to get notified?

She felt an arm touching her shoulder, snapping her out of her thoughts. Luz opened her eyes to see Willow's comforting eyes and smile. "Do you remember that trick I showed you?" she asked.
Luz nodded, of corse se remembered this trick that Willow showed her. It helped her more that once. She inhaled, counted to three and exhaled. She did it few times until she was calm. "Good job!" said Willow. Luz sat formally in her chair and paid attention to what the teacher was saying.

Lunch time came and Luz was sitting as always at the "loser" table. She was doodling on a piece of paper while half-listening to conversation between Masha and Willow, witch was slowly turning into an argument.

Luz met Masha during the reality check camp, they were sented there by their parents because of their obssesion with supernatural. Masha's reason was that they spreyed pentagram symbol on a floor of their living room, blow candels around it and tried to summon Satan.
She half-smiled at memory of a camp, she was so stessed and scared how will that place change her, rip her from her creativity and individuality, but no. She was suprised how many weirdos like her were there. And the camp was from the most part like any other summer camp in a woods. One part of Luz was glad that her mother sanded her there, without it she wouldn't have met Masha who was her biggest support and first real friend.

"Oh no! You're gonna have a terible future!" said Masha dramaticly pointing at one of the cards.

"I don't belive you" said Willow with challenging look.

"Listen here newcomer," said Masha pointing with one card toward Willow "I understand that you just transferred here and you don't know everything yet, but remember one think. My cards don't lie." said Masha with serious face.

Willow raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Well then I'm exited to see how terrible my future will be!" said Willow and the hole table started laughing.

Viney brushed a tear from her eye, "honestly Willow, I don't understand why people on your previous school treated you so poorly. You're such a fun person to be around! I'm glad Luz introduced you to us." She said.

Luz looked at Willow, how could someone bully such a nice person like her? She befriended her after she stood up to their school year's bully Bosha, who was making fun of Willow's appearance. "Why are you so skinny then? The wind is going to blow you away if you don't gain some weight."
