A Week Later

They finally arrived in New Orleans – no thanks to Alana stalling them at every chance she had. Dean had finally snapped and told her if she didn't knock it off, he was going to tie her up. So she gave up and they continued into Louisiana to find Madame Leroux, a local witch in New Orleans.

"Why are we here again?" Alana asks for the millionth time.

"You know why." Sam says, "She is supposed to help you."

Alana snorted, "I thought I was going to end all supernatural?"

"Witches are not supernatural." Jack says.

Alana shrugs, "So? Maybe I want a normal world. Can't I have that?"

The car was silent. What else could be said?

It was mid-afternoon when they arrived in town. Alana kept fidgeting in her seat. Clearly something was bothering her.

"I don't like it here." She whines.

Dean rolls his eyes as he parks the Impala in front of the witch store. Alana rolls her eyes, clearly not impressed.

"Stay here Alana, Jack. We'll be back." And with that they were out of the car and gone.

Alana sighs and lays her head on Jack's head. "I don't like this." She says.

Jack strokes her hair, "I know. I know. But soon this will be all over."

She smiles, "And we can finally be together?"

He smiles as she leans down and kisses her and whispers on her lips, "Yes."

Meanwhile Inside Witch Store

Dean and Sam sat on chairs waiting for Madame Leroux to come out from the back. Dean was becoming impatient and Sam was trying his best to keep the peace.

"Dean, stop." Sam mutters.

"What's taking her so long?" He groans.

The curtain moves and a woman enters the room, clearly Romanian in origin. "What can I help you boys with?" she asks.

"Do you know anything about the Phoenix?" Sam asks.

She pauses at what she's doing and her eyes go wide. "What makes you ask that?"

"No reason." Deans says, "Just heard about it in passing."

She takes a seat, clearly she was taken. "Then I will have to begin from the beginning." She starts, "The Phoenix symbolizes rebirth, especially that of the Sun. It derives from European, Central American, Egyptian and Asian cultures." She stops and looks at the boys. "This all dates back to the ancient times of a being rising from the ashes of death and formed into a new being."

"Could this Phoenix eliminate the supernatural?" Sam asks.

She nods. "In Romanian culture, a witch of Romanian blood and that of a vampire can transform into a Phoenix." She stops, "Why do you ask?"

"Apparently, there is one alive."

She shakes her head, "That can't be. The last vampire witch was named Alana Brogan."

Dean snorts, "Her name was Alana Winchester and she was our sister."

Madame Leroux looks stunned, "You're Dean and Sam?" she asks.

They nod as she whimpers, "My god! You're John's boys!"

"How do you know our father?" Sam asks.

She pauses, "I was in love with him. We had a daughter – Alana."

The room was silent as they looked at one another.

"How can that be?" Sam asks.

Madame Leroux closes her eyes for a moment before opening them again. "I remember burning on the ceiling. After that, everything is blank. The thing I know – I'm here."

"So you don't remember what happened to you then?"

She shakes her head. "I've learned to move past it. I made a new life for myself."

Dean nods. "Do you know what happened to Alana?"

She nods. "She died."

Sam shakes his head, "She's alive. She's in the car outside."

Madame Leroux's eyes widened, "How?"

"She's the Phoenix." Is all that's said before she passes out.
