"I'm not, I really don't have a clue
as to what you're talking about."

Sam's POV

"Jared, what are you doing?" I ask him as he's typing on his phone, the sound of the key tone filling my ears at a rapid speed.

He glances up from the screen and shakes his head, "Nothing."

"Nothing?" I question. "Who are you texting?"

He clicks his phone off and shoves it in his pocket as I near him, "Babe, chill."

I reach to stick my hand in his pocket, but he grabs my arm. "Don't," he warns.

"Who the fück was that?" I snatch my hand away and cross my arms.

"Don't worry about."

"Don't worry about it," I laugh sarcastically. "Tell me right now."

"I-" The doorbell rings and he quickly gets up from the bed. "Stay here," he tells me before walking to the door. I get up from the bed and he turns around, "I mean it."

"Okay," I say before he leaves the room. I do the exact opposite as he says and grab my robe from the chair at my vanity, putting it on as I leave the room. When I step out into the hall, I hear him and one other person. I creep to the stairs, slowly taking steps down.

"I think I got them good," the stranger says.

"Great, now where's the sugar," I hear Jared ask the guy.

I take one more step down so I can peer around the wall and I see the guy pass him a small plastic bag with white powder in it. Cocaine? No, it can't be.

"Made by yours truly," the guy laughs.

Jared stuffs the plastic bag in his front pocket and laughs, "Thanks, man. Anyway uh you can stop now."

"You sure?"

Jared nods his head, "Yeah."

"Alright. Well enjoy, that shit is good," he points to Jared's pocket and smiles.

"It better be," Jared jokes. "See you later."

"For sure," the guy says before turning around. Jared shuts the door and starts walking back towards the stairs.

I quickly head back up and rush to my room. When I get inside, I jump into the bed and pull the covers over my face.

"Babe," Jared says quietly.

I pull the covers down from my face, "Yeah?"

"I'm just gonna be downstairs in the office doing some paperwork."

"But it's late and you have to be up early," I whine although I could care less about his sleep. I already know what he's going to be doing in the office and it damn sure isn't paperwork.

He sighs, walking closer to the bed before leaning down to plant a kiss on my forehead. "I know, but I have to get it done."

"Whatever," I roll over and pull the covers back over my head.

"I love you." A groan leaves my lips. "I said, I love you."

"Yeah, yeah."

The covers are pulled back and I look up to see Jared staring down at me. "Say it back."

"No."

He leans down, "Say it."

I shake my head, "No."
