"I'll make sure you achieve your goals,
but first let's live a little."

I hung out with Lana and Albany for a few hours until I decided to try and meet up with Justin. He has hopefully cooled off by now. Whenever he gets mad, I leave him alone because being around him in that state is too difficult. He would normally lash out on anyone around him for no reason. His temper can get really bad sometimes, but thankfully he never gets physical or else there would be a bigger problem.

I call Justin's phone and he reluctantly answers after the third ring. "Are you still mad at me?" I ask cautiously, afraid that he's still upset. I absolutely hate when he's mad at me, especially now that he's back on tour. It's never good to leave on a bad note. Never.

"I was never mad, just annoyed," he replies and it sounds like he's still at the bar due to the background noise. "Can you be with me now?" a sigh leaves his lips.

"Justin," I pout my own as I wave for a taxi coming my way. I wished I rented a car because I absolutely hate public transportation. "I'm sorry I ditched you."

"It's okay, just hurry up. I don't like drinking by myself," his chuckle fills my ear and it makes me smile. I really love to hear him laugh because it's very melodious. Also because it's like a little kid laugh, which I think is the cutest thing ever.

"I'm about to get into a taxi so can you stay on the line until I'm there?" I ask as the taxi cab pulls up along the curb in front of me.

"Yeah. You should've called Mikey, though."

"Well he's with you and Hugo is back with Satan's spawn," I pull the handle on the yellow door and open it, the driver immediately asking me where I'm going as I slide in. "Um where are you?"

"Rhumbar," he says and I repeat it to the driver. "It's really chill and you can sit outside. I really think you'll like it."

"I bet I will," I giggle as I look out of the window. "I'm sorry again for leaving you for Lana and Albany. I just missed them and it was an opportunity to hangout."

"Baby, it's fine. You spent time with your friends and had fun without me. It's not like I was here all alone...oh wait," he jokes, but it only makes me frown. "Seriously, Aaliyah. I'm not mad at you. I've been relaxing with a few drinks. Everything is fine and dandy."

"Are you dr-"

"I'm not drunk," he cuts me off with a scoff. I've been pacing myself because I don't want to look like a lightweight falling on my ass, at least not without you here to keep me up."

"Ridiculous," I laugh as I bring my eyes to the meter on the dashboard. "I missed you. You should've stayed with me, we had loads of fun. Lana and Albany were excited to see you, but you wanted to be a grouch," I tease, hoping it's not too soon to drag him for his attitude.

"I love your friends, believe that. I just wanted to hangout with you," he stresses. "Once the California concerts are over with, I'm not going to be able to see you unless you fly out, which obviously isn't going to happen since you have school."

I really hate talking about him leaving because I know that's going to happen and I don't want it to. "We've been together since I got here-"

"Yeah, but we haven't been out," he cuts me off. "My birthday was great and all that, but we weren't alone. I want to show you off to the world, let everyone know that you're mine. Get into some crazy shit while we're here..."

"Get into some crazy shit, huh?" I repeat with amusement in my tone as I cross my right leg over my left, beginning to bounce it. I have this habit of doing it when I'm anxious, which in this case is because I want to hurry up and see Justin.
