"Paparazzi means promo."

Justin's POV

I get up from my chair as the floor shakes beneath me, making me almost lose my balance and I grasp the back of Sam's chair to keep myself up.

"What's happening?" Sam asks frantically, turning around to look at me.

"It's an earthquake," I reply calmly.

"Oh my God! Are we gonna die or something? Shouldn't we be doing something? What if this building collapses?" she asks, her accent prominent.

"Sam, I need you to calm down. We're going to be fine," I say before someone comes in to tell us to take cover.

I grab Sam's hand and she gets off of the chair. I feel her shaking so I wrap my arm around her shoulder as we crouch down to get under the table.

"This is so scary, Justin. Any second this whole building could come crashing down on us," her voice shaky and full of fright.

"This earthquake isn't that bad. It'll all be over in a few seconds, we are going to be fine. Nothing is going to happen to you, I promise." I feel her arms go around my body as the floor continues to shake. "It's okay, baby. I'm right here," I whisper into her hair and softly rub the small of her back.

The ground stops shaking after a couple more seconds and everyone goes back to what they were doing before. Sam and I get out from under the table and stand up. She keeps her arms around me and rests her head against my chest, keeping her eyes closed.

A minute or so later, Carl the interviewer comes over to Sam and I to see if we want to continue. I open my mouth to speak, but Sam decides to answer.

"Yes, we can uh continue," she lets go of me and throws a fake smile at him.

"Alright! Let's get you two touched up," he says before sitting down at the table.

Sam starts walking to the makeup room, but I call her name to get her to stop. She looks back at me, "What is it, Justin?"

"We don't have to continue the interview. You can go home and relax," I say curteously.

"No. We came here to do an interview and that's what the hell we're going to do." She turns her head back around and continues walking to the room.

I walk back over to my chair, sitting down and letting out a sigh. "How much longer?" I ask Carl.

"Just a few more questions and we'll wrap everything up. Are you okay?"

I nod my head in reply, "Yeah."

"Sam?" he arches his eyebrow.

"Fine," I send him fake smile.

Minutes later and Sam's back out, so we continue with the interview that I'm not feeling anymore. I really can't take Sam's attitude, but I have to put on my best smile and finish with this interview.

"Back to the duet you two produced and wrote together," Carl starts off. "What was it like singing with each other? Or did you work at the same time? How does it all happen?" he asks both of us.

Sam and I start at the same time, "Well..."

"You can go ahead," I glance at her.

"Yes we decided to work at the same time so it made me kind of nervous when I had to sing in front of Justin," she says, keeping her eyes on him.
