Two Weeks Later
Justin's POV

"You excited to see your girl?" Mikey asks from the passenger seat as he turns his head around to look at me.

We're sitting in the Escalade getting ready to head to the airport so I can fly back to California. I have a few days to myself that I wasn't aware of until Scooter asked me what I was going to do on my three day break. I was ecstatic when I found out and called Aaliyah the first chance I got. She sounded thrilled, although I could tell that she was sad. Shit, I'm sad for her because I know that she's going to be battling all types of emotions until her dad gets better. All I know is that I want to be there for her even if it's just for a couple days.

"Yeah, man. You know I'm always happy to see her," I smile down at my phone, my lock screen lighting up the picture of Aaliyah and I kissing in the waters of Bora Bora. That was a really fun trip despite my nude candids being spread all over the internet.

"She's really good for you," Mikey nods his head in approval. He was never one to weigh in on my relationships, so I'm a little surprised. "I'm happy she stuck around this far."

"Shut up," I roll my eyes as he laughs. I totally agree with him, though. I was shocked when she didn't run away once I let her see all of me, whether I was high, intoxicated, lusting after random women, depressed, or just plain angry. She saw it all and still decided to be there for me. I don't deserve her, but the least I can do is give her my all.

"Honestly," Mikey says in all seriousness. "I've never seen you so happy and excited for a new day. At one point I was really worried about you. I know I'm just your bodyguard, but your life really is mine to protect. All that crazy shit you were doing, I couldn't stop you and I was really afraid that you were going to ruin yourself for good. Aaliyah really saved you from yourself. She pulled your head out of the water and made you get your shit together. That girl really loves you," he says with a smile and I find myself smiling too.

"I know and I love her just as much, if not more. I owe her the world."

"Just please don't ever mess with her heart. In a way, I see her like a daughter and with my own daughter I would physically hurt anyone who dares to do her any wrong."

"I don't ever want to break her heart, but sometimes I'm afraid that I might because of how crazy my life is, ya know?" I send Aaliyah a quick message letting her know that I'm heading to L.A. and I can't wait to see her.

"But you love her enough to protect her at all costs, right?" he asks as Tom opens the door and gets into the driver's seat as Za slides in next to me, both of their doors slamming shut at the same time.

"Of course. I would do anything for her," I lick my lips before sending Za a small smile, acknowledging his presence.

"Alright, then you have nothing to worry about," Mikey turns around in his seat as the car starts moving.

Za peeks over and takes a look at my screen and slightly frowns. He ended up finding out about the situation when we were chilling in my hotel room after one of my shows because she FaceTimed me while she was with her dad at the hospital.

"We're going to the doctors," I notify him, trying to keep quiet about it.

"Still? I thought she you know," he widens his eyes, hinting at her period. I told him she was on it because he was really concerned about me possibly being a dad.
