Sasuke's Departure - (Slight💔)

I woke up in the middle of the night with a weird and indescribable feeling in the pit in my stomach, sort of like a gut feeling. I decide to ignore it and turn to my nightstand on the right side of my bed to check the time.

11:45 p.m.

Considering the fact that once I wake up it takes me quite some time to fall back asleep, I decide to go out for a walk. Since I normally sleep with just my boxers and a tank top, I put on some gray joggers and a black hoodie. I head to my living room and into the small corridor in front of the door that leads outside and put my shoes on. I lock my door and begin walking down the nearby stairs.

'Maybe I'll walk to the Village entrance and back since it's a short enough distance that should get me tired enough to sleep.' I shrug and start my walk. Arriving at the Village Gates, I spot a figure. The figure seems to be carrying something... wait, no, someone! I then hid in a nearby bush. The figure then lays the body down on a nearby bench. I decide to get closer and realize, it's Sasuke and Sakura!

'That's weird, I thought Sasuke didn't like hanging out with Sakura's...' I shrug and continue my approach to Sasuke. What I failed to realize before was the backpack he carried. 'Is he going on a mission?'

"Yo, Sasuke! You headed for a mission without saying goodbye to your favorite person?" I let out a small chuckle. Sasuke flinched upon hearing me, but stayed in place. It might have just been me but something felt... different, about Sasuke.

"Not in the mood for jokes I see."

(Sasuke's POV)

'Dammit, out of all the people he just had to be the one to show up!' I finally turn around to face him but keep quiet. A worried expression now rests on his face.

"Is everything okay?"

'Might as well come clean, I guess' I think to myself for a second before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath.

"(m/n), I'm..." I sigh. 'Why can't I just tell him?'

"You're what? What's wrong?"

"I'm leaving the village to pursue the power that Orochimaru promised me during the Chunin Exams." I finally say after a couple of seconds of silence. I watch as his face changes from worried, to shocked, to mad in a split second. His eyes slowly began to turn to the color red. 'Oh boy..'

(Your POV)

"What!? Are you insane! That damned snake bit you, hurt Naruto, Sakura and Lee, and you decided to go after him for power!?" I yell out in pure anger. I then take a deep breath to calm myself down from lashing out on him.

"Listen, Sasuke, I understand that you want to avenge your clan and kill Itachi, but you have to listen to me, this isn't the way! You aren't the only one that has a grudge to hold against him, I do too! But following in the footsteps of someone who hurt your friends isn't the way!" He seems to think about it for a moment before sighing once more.

"Look, I know that you and I both hold a grudge against him, but you have to understand. This is one of the Three-Legendary Sanin we are talking about! He can teach me much more than this stupid village!" After he said that, I felt my chest sting and tears gather in the corners of my eyes. I felt the anger in me rise, but tried to contain it as much as I could.

"I don't care if its God himself we're talking about! This snake is a dangerous S-Rank Missing Nin! A criminal! And FYI, in case you haven't noticed, this stupid village as you say, is filled with people who love and care for you, your friends! Naruto cares about you and considers you his best friend! Kakashi considers you his promising student and cares about you like any sensei would! Sakura loves and cares about you! I love and care about you! Maybe even more than her!"
