I woke up when a large clash sounded, and I let out a pathetic little whimper as the wind howled against the glass door that led to my balcony. The rain was hammering against the glass like bullets, and through the curtains I saw a bright flash followed almost immediately by roaring thunder. I curled up in a ball, flinching as the thunder continued to roar.

Surprisingly enough, thunderstorms were a fear of mine. I couldn't help but let out another whimper when the lightning flashed again, and I instinctively reached for my phone and pressed number one on my speed dial.

"(M/N)?" Sasuke's groggy voice sounded, relieving my heart of the fright I was currently experiencing.

"Sasuke- oh shit-!" I let out a not-so-manly shriek when the thunder roared, and curled up in the corner where the head of my bead met the wall.

"(M/N)? You okay- oh wait, it's the thunderstorm isn't it?" Sasuke asked, chuckling a bit in the end.

"M-maybe..." I mumbled, not wanting to admit it but he knew that thunderstorms brought back not-so-pleasant memories. "Please just- just stay on the phone with me for a bit-"

"It's alright, I'll come over." He said, and my eyes widened.

"Y-you don't have to do that!"

"I know you, you won't settle down unless I'm there to comfort you." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"That's true but- fuck!" I cried out again as the lighting lit up my room. "I-I'm fine." I lied.

"You're a terrible liar (M/N)." He chuckled and I could hear a rustling on the other end of the phone, it sounded as though he was getting changed.

"But you'll have to walk here in the rain-"

"If it's for you I don't mind." He said sweetly and I couldn't help but smile.

"Thanks, Sasuke. It really means a lot. I owe you one." I assured him and I heard him chuckle.

"Alright, I'm just setting off. Be there in 10." He said.

"Okay, see you soon." I said and hung up the phone, making my way downstairs, sitting by the door with a towel. I tried to remain calm as the rain and wind howled outside. I felt guilty at the fact that Sasuke was walking in this weather just to comfort me; I was definitely going to make it up to him.

After an excruciatingly long ten minutes, there was finally a knock at the door. I peeked through the pee-hole to make sure it was him, and sure enough I saw him with a battered umbrella, a duffel bag over his shoulder. Immediately I opened the door and pulled him inside, shocking him a little. Droplets falling from his now flat hair and his clothes were soaked. His umbrella had also taken an intense battering from the wind.

Still, despite all of this I embraced him in a hug, out of both relief and guilt. "I'm sorry you had to come all this way in this weather." I mumbled into his soaked shirt.

"Hey, it's okay, don't apologize. (M/N), you're getting wet." He chuckled, pushing me away. I handed him the towel but knew he'd need more, so I sent him to the bathroom where he also changed into his pajamas. He had been to my house many times before so he knew the layout, and came straight up to my room once he was done drying himself off.

"Thanks for coming so late, Sasuke." I mumbled, slightly embarrassed about my fear.

"No need to thank me (M/N), you know I'd do anything for you." He said playfully, sitting beside me on my large bed. I couldn't help but smile. With the two of us lying down and cuddling up against each other, I always felt calm and relaxed, especially in situations like this. Even though it should be opposite with our height difference, he was laying down, his arms wrapped around my shoulder tightly pulling me into his body. My head rested on his chest as I listened to the therapeutic beating of his heart, it perhaps being quicker than a usual heartbeat. Our legs were tangled together and I had my arms wrapped tightly around his body.
