Brother's Best Friend - ☁️

Today's the day. After all my hard-work, I was finally promoted to the highest rank of the Operations Management Department, the COO. As a part of this promotion, I've been transferred to the main branches of the company. Which also means I have to move...

Great.

Well, the good thing is that I have somewhere to go. Apparently my brother, Itachi, and his best friend, (M/N), came to an agreement where (M/N) would move in with him so that I could have his apartment, that way we'd live in the same complex since we're all working for the same company, just different departments. And since they work in the same department, the Marketing Department, it'd be easier for them to live together since they mostly only used one apartment, they just took turns.

Of course, I agreed. I mean who wouldn't? You get to live next door to the only people you know in a new city who also work at the same place as you, and work the same hours as you? That's a mighty great deal.

So I hopped in my car and moved.

Everything was going great. They took me sightseeing, took me out to eat, took me shopping, helped with buying new furniture and repairing what was needed in the apartment and showed me around. We hung out a lot whenever we could and helped each other with work and the work.

Although, after a few weeks of only hanging out with them and their friends, I decided it'd be in my best interest to put myself out there. New city, new people. So I downloaded a couple dating apps and met a nice guy. We hit it off, flirted here and there until he asked me out on a ate. Of course, I agreed.

Everything was going great. He picked me up and took me to a nice restaurant. He was being such a gentlemen... until he wasn't

He began to say crude things, and that 'I was going home with him whether I like it or not' and other stuff like that. At that point, I started to feel uncomfortable and unsafe, so I decided I would just call Itachi to come pick me up.

"I'll be back, I have to go to the bathroom." I tell my 'date' before I get up and make my way to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, I lock the door and pull out my phone. I quickly dial Itachi's number. 'Come on pick up.'

Voicemail. Fuck.

Who else can I call? I scroll on my contacts, trying to find someone in the area. Then I remember that the only other person I knew.. was (M/N). Should I call him? But what if he's busy.

I debated on whether or not I should call him, not wanting to interrupt his day off in a while. I decided it'd be better if I just text him, hoping he'd see it and come pick me up.

Sasuke

Please come pick me up, my dates' making me uncomfortable and I don't feel safe.

Delivered

I waited for a bit, but there was no response. At this point I've been here long enough to seem suspicious and anger my 'date', so I just decided to head back to the table, hoping that maybe I'll come up with something to leave.

I headed to the table, but as soon as I sat down, the restaurants' doors burst open, causing some loud commotion. I turned around and there stood (M/N), panting, and he looked absolutely pissed. He scanned the restaurant, ignoring the judgmental looks of the crowd. He spotted me and headed to our table. (M/N) then made his way to the table and handed me his helmet.

"Here, we're leaving." He says. I grab his helmet and stand up. Then my 'date' stands up, about to protest, before (M/N) interrupts him.

"If you ever come near him, or me again, your body will never be found." He says menacingly. My 'date' then lifts his hands up in surrender and sits back down. (M/N) gently grabs my wrist and leads me out of the restaurant and towards his bike. We hop on his bike and make our way to our apartment complex.

On the way there, he would rub circles on my legs and held my hand that was across his waist in the most sweet and gentle way possible, relaxing me in the process.

We arrived at the apartment complex shortly and he helped me off. I took off the helmet and handed it to him. We then began making our way to our respective apartments. Once we stood by our doors, I decided to thank him.

"Hey, um, thanks for what you did for me, and I'm sorry for running your night." I say, averting my gaze to anything but his.

"Running my night?" He asks, chuckling a bit.

"Yeah, I mean, wasn't it your day off? You must've been doing something–"

"Do you wanna know what I was doing?" He interrupts, stepping closer.

"Well, y-yeah." I say, genuinely curious about what he had to leave to come save me.

"I was at a friend's party. But guess what?" He says, lifting my chin so I was looking at him dead in the eyes.

"You're more important than a good time. Because unless I know you're safe and sound, I can't have a good time. I'll always, always, choose you above anything." He says, lowering his voice at the end, making my face heat up, to the point where I'm positive it's beet red.

"Even– even my brother?" I ask.

"Even you're brother. Every. Single. Time." He says, making me gulp inaudible and let out a shaky breath.

"What does this mean?" I hesitantly ask.

"I'll show you what it means." He says lowly, then gently places one hand on my cheek and the other on my waist, pulling me closer and leans in. He gives me a short peck on the lips, but long enough to leave me yearning for more.

"But we'll talk about this when you don't just come back from a shitty date." He says, winking and then walking into his apartment.
