BROCK
I am driving to town with my mate, Sylvie, to the shopping center. I pull her close to me in the truck and I wrap my arm around her as I drive my truck. This keeps Steven my wolf calm and I can tell it is relaxing her, too.
She reaches for the radio nob on the dash. She stopped to look at me for my permission; I nodded my head yes. She turns on the radio. I don't know why she thinks she needs to ask me. She never has to ask me to do anything. She can do anything she wants to. Who am I to stop her.
She turns on the radio and it's on at the country station, 192.8 Country Station. A popular one in our area. She looked at me and smiled and kissed my cheek. She was happy with the station the radio was on; it confused me. It was just a radio station.
"What was that for? Not that I am complaining or anything?" I asked her. She shook her head and laughed.
"The station stupid! It's the same one I listen to at the bookstore and in my car. It's my favorite station. Did you know that? Did you know I love country music?" She asked me. The was one thing I didn't know. "How did you know?"
"Actually, that's pretty cool, babe. No, I didn't know that. I am glad it is something else that we have in common." I said. "Country music is my favorite too."
"That's awesome." She said.
A song played as I continued to drive. It's called 'My Person' by Spenser Crandall. I observed as she sang the song. As I am driving, I hear my mate sing. She has a beautiful voice. It's angelic and like nothing I have ever heard before.
Sylvie singing, 'My person, my heartbeat, my slow dance,'
I looked over at Sylvie as she was singing. She was looking at me. She stopped singing for a moment and she said, "I love you Brock." I was so happy to hear her say those words. She sang again before I could even respond.
Sylvie singing, 'Stealing of my t-shirts, my reason for speeding home from work, my saving grace.'
"I love you to Sylvie and just so you know, I will make you my wife one day." I told her.
"Of course you will." She says and rolls her eyes.
"I am serious and when we do, our first dance as husband and wife, this will be the very song dance to." I said. "I am serious. I want to marry you. I would tomorrow if it wouldn't be too soon." She laughed.
"Well, that's a little too soon. Besides, we have to get through Nova and Braxton's wedding first. Which is in a few weeks." She said. I nodded.
I knew she was right. The next few weeks are going to be busy for both of us, so I hope they go by fast. Nova and Nora have tons of plans with Sylvie, while Braxton has tons of plans with me and his brothers. It is going to be a busy and long few weeks. I feel it now and so does my wolf.
SYLVIE
The next few weeks have gone by in a blur. With all the wedding shopping with Nora and Nova. The dress fittings, rehearsals and so forth.
I have spent so much time with Nova and the girls. While Brock has spent so much time with Braxton and the guys lately. I miss him so much.
Willow reassures me that both he and his wolf Steven are feeling the same way as I am and miss me, too. Tonight, the night before Nova and Braxton's wedding and Brock will be at home. I am so happy because I get to see my mate. Tomorrow, the ceremony and reception are taking place.
So, Nora and I went to the lake location to make sure everything was in place and ready for tomorrow. After about 5-hours of challenging work. We finished preparing everything and was ready for tomorrow.
