NINETEEN YEARS LATER

SYLVIE

I was sitting at the table with my daughter, Oakley Renee. She turned 17 the week after Christmas. She does not know who her mate is until she turns 18 and accepts her wolf. However, her mates already know her. As he is one of her brother Thor's best friends. It's Nicolas 'Nick' Allen Torres. I just put breakfast on the table for Oakley, Paisley, and Thor. As soon as put the plates on the table, the kids and my mate came down to the table and sat down and ate.

"Babe, this is amazing. You have outdone yourself again." Brock said.

"Well, thank you." I said.

"So, kids, what is the plan for the day?" Brock asked.

"Well, you know that have to go to the office with you dad. You said that every workday for the next 6-months for training." Thor said. I just looked at him. Thor just got back from Alpha training two-weeks ago, but still wants to learn from his father.

"That I did, son. But it is only if you want to." Brock said.

"I do, dad." Thor said.

"Girls, what about you?" I asked. Brock and I looked at them.

"Well, Nick wanted to take us to the mall." Oakley said. "You know the spring formal is coming and we want to get our dresses, even if we are going alone."

"Speak for yourself, sister!" Paisley said.

"WAIT! You have a date?" Thor asked. Paisley shook her head yes.

"Who is the lucky one that gets to take you to the dance, sweetheart?" I asked.

Then there was a knock at the door. Brock went to answer the door. There stood Nick and Alexander 'Alex' David Turner. Thor looked at the door and saw his two best friends walking into the house.

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Thor asked.

The guy looked at each other. Nick knew he couldn't tell anyone that Oakley was his mate, because Oakley had to figure it out on her own. But that doesn't mean Alex can't say anything about his mate.

"I promised I would accompany the girls to the mall." Nick said.

"Oh, ok." Thor said. Paisley and Alex looked at each other in the eyes and nodded.

"Well, I am here to accompany my mate to get her dress for the spring formal." Alex said. Everyone just looked at Alex and Paisley; then back and forth.

"Excuse me? When did this happen?" Brock asked.

"Yesterday, when I return from Beta Training School. My wolf, Ezra, kept telling me the entire way home that something was going to happen. He had been going crazy the entire way home. When I did finally find her, I accepted her immediately. We haven't marked or mated, if you are wondering. I know she is nowhere near ready for that. To be honest, neither am I." Alex said.

"Mom, dad we are taking things a little slow. You know, one day at a time. But we are seeing how this goes ok. Just give us some time, that's all we ask of you." Paisley says.

OAKLEY

My parents don't have the clue that I have had my wolf for almost 4 months now. Bailey, my wolf, and I know Nick is our mate. Every time we spend together and how close we are, especially when his hands accidentally touched mine and there were sparks.

Yeah, he is my mate. I have been acting like I do not know because I shouldn't have gotten my wolf yet. But I am going to tell him. Because this is getting too hard. It is so hard to keep hiding it from him, especially.
