Both my brother Elijah and my mate Brock look at me with concern. Neither of them knew exactly what to see at the very moment. But they just knew that she was going to be ok no matter what happens in the future for them.
After talking with Elijah, they left the office and headed back to their house. Brock needed to let Steven out for a run. He thought that this might help Sylvie and possibly encourage Willow to come out.
They got to the house and got out of the truck. Sylvie headed out back to the garden. She sat down on the bench with Brock.
"Babe, Steven wants to go for a run. Do you want to go? You can ride on his back?" He asked her. She smiled and nodded.
"Ok, it sounds like fun. Can we go down around the lake?" I asked him.
"Sure thing, come on." He said.
BROCK
He was happy that she agreed to join him and Steven for a run today. Steven hoped he might feel Willow a little and try to connect with her. Even if it is a little. They headed for the woods.
He changed behind the tree and shifted. Sylvie grabbed his clothes. She climbed onto his back.
They went for a run and through the woods till they got to the clearing along the lake. She got off Steven's back. She rubbed her hand along his back through his fur.
She leaned down and gave Steven a kiss on his head. She kept running her hands through Steven's fur. Steven loved it.
He rubbed his head up against her neck. He feels all the sparks as he should feel for his wolf's mate.
Brock, do you feel that? The sparks. Willow is still in there somewhere. I can feel it! My wolf said.
"Yes, Steven, I feel it. I know she is. I haven't given up hope yet. I just want to make our mate happy. This run will help her out." I said to Steven.
It will, I know it will! My wolf said.
"You are normally right, Steven." I said.
Ha-ha, when am I wrong? He said.
"Don't let that go to your head, Steven." I said.
When I was finished talking with my wolf, I went behind the tree, and I shifted. Sylvie handed me my clothes, and I got dressed. I walked over to the lake, and I sat down by the lake next to my mate Sylvie.
She looks deep in thought. I just wrapped my arm around her, and she had her head on my chest. We just sat there for a little while before anyone said anything.
"Babe, you alright?" I asked her. She nodded her head and smiled.
"Just trying to reach Willow. I don't know, I just feel different. I don't know what it is, I can't place it. But I just do." She said. I smiled and kissed her forehead.
"I understand. I am here for you, no matter what. Even if she doesn't resurface. I will still love you always. Just remember that." I said. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"I love you too." She said.
SYLVIE
I felt Willow for the first time in weeks; she was stirring. Because when I brushed my hand through his fur, I felt sparks. I should have been feeling those with both Brock and his wolf all along.
Something that Brock said must have connected with her. To wherever she was hiding. Next thing I know, I am in extreme pain, and I feel my bones breaking and shifting. That's right, I shift into Willow.
