Ch4

Sorry for the confusion with the chapter orders, when I updated Ch3, I thought Ch2 was already on there, sorry. Just follow the numbers. This is Ch4

Ch4

The plane was unable to land in Delhi India as the power had gone out in the airport, in fact it had gone out in the whole city.

 "I guess Leeway has started his plans of terror early." Luke said as he grabbed a parachute and passed it to her.

 "And without us? How rude." She teased as they slipped into harnesses. "So what's the plan?"

 "We jump, glide over to the island, stay together, find the laser, Leeway and the diamond. Destroy the laser and grab the two and call headquarters."

 "Why do your plans always sound so much easier than what they really are?"

 Luke chuckled. "Hopefully it'll be quick and easy." He slid the door open as a big man came behind them.

 "Safe sailing." He said with a nod.

 "Ready?" Luke asked. She nodded and jumped out of the plane without a second's hesitation. He shook his head and jumped after her.

They landed right on the shore of the island and stripped the harnesses off their bodies.

 "Wow." He said, looking around the island. "That's a big volcano."

 "Come on Lenox, you're not scared of a little magma are you?"

 "No, no...maybe."

 She smiled teasingly and took his hand. "Don't worry, I'll hold your hand."

 "Haha, you're so funny."

She giggled and pulled him forward. "Come on, we don't have all night."

 They began walking around the island. It was obvious that it had been altered. There were tracks hidden in the sand and the sound of heavy machinery being used was heard in the distance.

 "I don't think this is a one man job." He whispered.

 "So where is everyone?" She whispered back, looking around. "It's too dark to see anyone."

 "Here," he dug into his back pack and pulled out two pairs of sunglasses and handed one to her. "Night vision."

 "You couldn't have given me these earlier?"

 "You weren't complaining earlier."

 "I wasn't complaining!"

 "Shh!" He hushed. "Come on, let's find an entrance. There has to be one."

 "Follow the tracks." They began walking along the tracks, ducking into the trees as carts passed.

 As they watched a cart pass they noticed tons of C4 in one.

 "What is going on?" She whispered.

 "I don't know, but let's hope we don't have to fight off bombs too. Come on."

 He urged them forward.

 "I think I see light." She whispered as they ducked behind a bush. There was a man with a gun, guarding the entrance. The cart with the C4 went through a sliding door.

 "That's where we need to go, we have to distract him." He said as Bella picked up a rock. "What are you doing?" She handed him the baseball sized rock.

 "6 years of football and baseball comes in handy." She said gesturing to the guard. "Show me what you got Lenox."

 He let out a sigh and took a few steps back. He got in a pitching position and aimed for his head and let the rock fly from his hand. The rock made contact with his temple, and both the man and rock went to the floor. She gave him a simple nod as she took her glasses off. There was enough light emitting from the building. "Let's move."

Upon entering the volcano, they realized it was no longer a volcano, rather a lair. There were windows all around, see through rooms that gave everyone a view of the thousands of propane tanks in each room. The place crawling with people in white sterilization suits.

 "Propane? What are they doing with propane if the jewel is its source?"

 Bella shrugged. "Well given that we just saw carts of C4, I'm guessing they're going to be making bombs. And what do you need to make a bomb?"

"C4 and propane."

"Right."

 They sprinted their way through the lair, hiding behind pillars and stacks of crates.

 "What's in these crates?"

 "I don't know Luke, why don't you open one to find out?" She said sarcastically in a whisper.

 Luke gave her a pout. "I'm just curious."

 Bella let out a sigh and gently patted his cheek, then she peered around the pillar. "There's a flight of stairs right there. If we go up we'll be seen." She looked back at him to see him opening the crate. "What are you doing?!"

 "My curiosity got the best of me, but lookie what I found?" He whispered in a sing song voice as he held up a white sterilization suit and helmet.

 Bella smiled and rolled her eyes as she took the suit from him.
