Y/n's POV

I tap my earpiece, "This place looks abandoned, Flag."

I survey the building and its surroundings. It's so tall I have to strain my neck to see the top of the building. I can make out the dark letters saying LEXCORP. I remember when the letters used to light up. Several windows are broken, hinting at the fight Waller had to put up to take over the building. I don't see any security, but that doesn't mean there isn't any. Oftentimes, subtlety is the best security.

I glance at my partner, dressed in all black for once. She traded her signature mask and jacket for a black outfit similar to mine. It was too risky to wear her identifying outfit on this mission. We both wore masks that covered our faces, so that only our eyes were visible. If Waller found out we were there, we would both be done for.

"I know she's there." Flag insisted.

"Where?" Katana asks,

"Fourth Floor. They've got a cell built for her."

"Waller let you see it?" I ask.

"No." He replies, "But I've got friends."

"You?" I joke.

"We can laugh when this is over." Flag says seriously, "Get June out."

He's clearly not in the mood, so I drop my tone. I try to imagine if Waller got ahold of Harley. I wouldn't be laughing either. Especially for four years. And to be completely helpless the way Flag is... no wonder he came to me for help. He's truly desperate.

"Fourth floor you say?" Katana gets back to the topic at hand, "Which side?"

"Dead center of the building." Flag says, "That's all I know."

"What type of cell?" I ask,

"I just said that's all I know." Flag repeats in annoyance.

I frown. This is a terrible plan. And Flag is obviously not going to be any help. He's too emotional. Katana is clearly thinking the same thing. One look at each other and it's clear we understand each other. We both reach up simultaneously and mute our earpieces, so that we can talk without Flag overhearing us.

"Ready?" Katana says.

I nod, and we both start running in separate directions. Knowing how frazzled Flag was, I had made a few extra plans. I run towards the electric panel, avoiding the laser trip wire alarms on the way. I had warned Katana about them, so there was no need to worry for her. She was surprisingly unfazed by my instructions. It made me wonder exactly what her story was. It was likely I would never find out, as guarded as she is.

I find the electrical panel and get to work. I'm no engineer, but I've picked up enough. I tug on my gloves so that I don't leave any fingerprints. Lord knows Waller probably has my prints memorized. I destroy the fuse box and watch the red lights on the laser grid go dead, satisfied. I hit a button on my watch for 1 minute. That's how long it will be before the backup generator kicks in. I wait a few minutes, until Katana confirms she's planted the EMP jammer.

We met in front of the building again, back where we started.

"Cameras?" Katana asks.

I nod again, and we draw our grappling guns. We aim just above the window on the fourth floor. The cables connect perfectly, and we both hang on tight as we're launched into the air, and through the already broken window. We roll through the windows, drawing real guns as we stand, expecting a fight. But no one is there. Katana and I look at each other, both wearing the same confused expression.

"Follow through." I instruct, "Fifth floor."

She takes the stairs, onto the next phase of her mission, while I explore the fourth floor. Hopefully Flag was right and June is nearby. My faith in him begins to wane as I continue through the empty halls. There's no sign of anyone. There are no guards to try to stop me. And it's doubtful they would abandon June here.
