Y/n's POV

"Congratulations I guess." I look around the club with a fresh perspective. This belonged to her now.

"Thank you." She fell into a chair, legs spread proudly, "I felt like it was about time I was in charge."

I glanced at Katana, who looked just as shocked and confused as I felt. I ran a hand through my hair and looked back at Selena. She was snapping her fingers at a glitter covered girl, who promptly brought her a drink.

"So what do you think?" Selena spread her hands wide, "You know, if you ever need a job, I've got you covered."

I raised an eyebrow at her.

"You seem less than thrilled." Selena caught on.

"Maybe because you're working for the same woman you sold me out to years ago." I answer.

"Ah." She hands the drink back to the girl and leans forward, "I'm not working for her Ace. It was just a business deal."

"A business deal?" I smirk and lean back in my chair. The audacity.

"Is that why you're here?"

"Of course that's why I'm here." I try to regain my composure, "But not because of old wounds."

"Oh?"

"What were your goons transporting for Waller?" I ask.

"Why do you care what Waller is up to?"

"It's a long story. Please, I just need to know." I say sincerely.

"Truthfully, I don't know."

"You don't." I don't believe her.

"Really Ace, I wish I could help you." Selena actually sounds apologetic for once, "But I don't know."

"Come on, you seriously didn't do any snooping? That's not like you." I press, hoping for any information.

"I didn't work the job. I just sent my goons." Selena shrugged, "I was... busy." She glanced at the girl again.

I rolled my eyes, "Well, where are they?"

"Dead. Most of them." She says, "Killed by our birds of prey. Of course, they get a free pass from me."

"Huh." I chuckle. The lead was right in front of me all along, "They're after Waller?"

"No. They're after me." Selena says, "They didn't know Waller had anything to do with it. And they don't know that I'm in charge here, obviously."

"Obviously." I grit my teeth.

"You're still mad."

"I'm not mad."

"You're mad."

"I'm not mad!" I shout.

Selena gives me a smug smile. I purse my lips in frustration. Katana glances between the two of us, then excuses herself politely, leaving the two of us alone.

"Let's solve this the way we used to." Selena suddenly says.

I freeze, "What?"

"You're mad. I'm stubborn. Let's solve this like we do." She stands up, offering a hand. I fold my arms across my chest. She disappears into the same room, then emerges a moment later with a duffle bag.

"Come on." She smirks, "I know you want to hit me."

"That's true." I mutter.

"No more business deals. Let's both just do what we're best at." She offers her hand again.
