BAT-WATCH!

"Over the last few weeks, there's been many reported signs of a new vigilante patrolling the streets of Gotham, this vigilante has officially been revealed as a female, the civilians are nicknaming her 'Batgirl'!", the news reporter informed, with an image of 'Batgirl' taken being shown on the screen.

"I haven't had any communication with Batman since his disappearance, we've continued the investigation, however we've found no further clues. So, as far as I'm aware, this 'Batgirl', is not working with Batman in any way. Yes, she was spotted at the scene with Robin, however I don't know the full story behind that",  Commissioner Gordon told the press, shown on the news.

A FEW WEEKS LATER:
A few weeks later, in an old warehouse, Batgirl and Robin were taking down some thugs together.

Batgirl kicked the thug backwards, and Robin hit him across the face with his staff. Suddenly, more thugs entered the room, firing at the two, as Robin jumped out of the way, throwing a Batarang, disarming the thugs and catching it. He then pulled out his grapple gun, pulled a thug towards him, so he could jump up and kick him backwards onto the ground.

After they dealt with the thugs, more and more carried on entering, however now another person had entered, however looked very different to the others, and then suddenly a huge blast of fire, shot towards them, as Robin dived towards Batgirl, covering her with his cape, and used his gun to grapple out of there, carrying her. They heard the screams of thugs in agony, as they burned alive in the warehouse, and the horrible smell quickly got to them. As they reached a rooftop, they coughed a little, getting the smoke and smell out of their lungs. "These guys are for real!", Robin said to Batgirl, as they looked down back into the warehouse, to see the fire slowly spreading around, and inside it all was a mysterious person, wearing a dark grey flame resistant overalls, their face was covered by a oxygen mask, so they couldn't make out whether this was male or female, and they carried a flame thrower. The person, then looked up at them, pulled out a grenade from their belt and threw it upwards at the two, so they grappled onto another building, whilst Robin dropped smoke. As they shot upwards, they heard the sound of an explosion, as they looked down to see the warehouse burning down and now the person wasn't in sight.

"You know them?", Batgirl questioned, as Robin responded, "no...well I don't think so anyway". "C'mon, let's get back to the bunker", Robin told her, "the...?" She asked, as she'd never been to Batman and Robin's base of operations.

SOMETIME LATER, THE BUNKER:
After they'd reached the bunker, Barbara took her mask off and looked around the place. She looked up at one of Batman's suits on a stand, and then towards a car, covered up. She approached it, pulling the cover off, revealing the Batmobile. "There really is some cool gadgets here, huh?", Barbara said, "yeah...Bruce is a cool guy", Dick replied, as she saw the sadness on his face, "we'll find him", she told Robin. "Ah, master...oh...", Alfred said as he met Barbara as Batgirl for the first time, "Miss Gordon", he nodded, as she responded, "hey, Alfred", "shall I prepare a meal?", Alfred asked, as Dick answered, "sure, Al...".

After firefighter's had spent hours putting out the fire, the GCPD had arrived on scene. "Any ideas who these guys were?", an officer questioned Jim, as they looked over the burned bodies, "well this looks like a mob attack, my guess is that a deal was going on and a rival gang attacked them, however it got out of control", "hey, we got something!", a CSI shouted, as Jim turned, to see a Batarang in the woman's hand. "Hmm", Jim made a sound, as he taken a look at the Batarang, "alright, I'll contact Robin later...maybe this 'Batgirl' was on the scene as well".
