Kyle’s POV
“Dude, are you, are you sure this is a good idea?” I huffed, looking over at my childhood best friend.
“I’m sure,” Leo smiled back, his sinister grin. “There is no way we could get caught.”
“We just fucking killed someone,” I quietly retorted.
“Well, i-if ya keep talking like that, th-then of course we are,” Leo shot back.
“Whatever, Butters,” I groaned, watching Leo lick his knife clean.
“Dude, that is so unsanitary,” I shot at the blonde boy as I grabbed a towel out of my jacket pocket.
“C-Come on, it tastes great, and ya know it,” Leo smiled.
I rolled my eyes, “Yea, but we barely knew the person we killed. So many things can be wrong with their blood.”
“Wh-Whatever Kyle,” Leo responded.
We continued on our way back to the apartment we shared. We got cleaned up and ready for bed.
“Night dude,” I called out, rubbing my eyes.
“Night Kyle,” Leo responded, turning out the light.
Over the course of the next few days, we continued our daily routine. Go to work from 8 am to 5 pm, eat dinner, and watch some TV before bed. The person we killed, well, the body with no head was found yesterday.
“Any sign of the head?” I asked, walking into the living room with a box of pizza.
“N-Nope, and no clue who the killer is,” Leo smiled, grabbing a slice. “I told ya not to worry.”
“Whatever you say,” I responded.
The next day, the two of us went out for dinner. A small family owned restaurant that is loved by the town. It was late when we finally headed back.
“Stop right where you are!” an unfamiliar voice commanded.
Both of us stopped and turned around. No cop or cop car. Just some random person in a white lab coat pointing a gun at us.
“Can we help you?” I questioned, irritated out of my mind.
“Yes. Get in the back of the car,” the person ordered.
“Nope,” Leo and I responded.
“That wasn’t a question,” the person growled.
“Great, see ya later,” Leo waved them off as he started to walk away.
A laser beamed out of the gun, causing Leo to black out.
“What did you-” I got cut off by the same laser. Everything went dark as electricity stung my body. Whoever this is…
…I fully hate them.
