Teagan
"Alpha Teagan! Behind you!"
"I hear them approaching." I muttered to myself
Quickly killing the the dark furred rogue I had pinned underneath my large paws. I turned around just in time to catch the fourth rogue mid air by his throat with my sharp canines.
With no mercy and minimal effort, I crushed the wolf's windpipe, snapping his neck in one powerful bite.
My actions draws out the distorted sounds of what would've been whimpers. I almost felt bad for the rogue, but the piece of shit invaded our lands. You couldn't be more disrespectful to a pack and it's Alpha.
Unacceptable. No, it was unforgivable.
The worthless rogue continued with his attempts at whimpering as I moved to pierce his heart with my long claws, providing him with a painfully swift death. One that he didn't deserve.
None of them did.
His body instantly went limp and his thrashing around ceases as I brutally ripped my sharp claws from his body. His heart in my grasp.
I discarded the carcass to the side uncaringly and began to take in the scene before me. Growling lowly to myself in annoyance.
The bodies of about twenty rogues scattered all over the bloody woodland floor. Most of them dying at my hands.
The area was once beautiful, covered in lush greenery and filled with all kinds of beautiful wildlife. Bunnies, deer, squirrels, butterflies, birds, etc.
Beautiful Weeping Willows and enormous Oak Trees littered the forest floor. Basked in a beautiful golden light and swaying about with the wind at its peak height.
Accompanied with every kind of flower in the world, courtesy of our Omegas and their pups. A traditional pack activity that spans back generations.
Now, it was nothing more than a warzone covered in endless amounts of blood and dismembered bodies scattered about.
At least it was only in this area of the woods. My wolves love to run through it and pups love chasing after and scaring the butterflies and bunnies.
Though they'd always come back in a few hours. They didn't act like it, but I knew they loved playing with the pups as much as the pups loved playing with them.
I'd been enjoying my ONE day off this month when I was notified of rogues in my territory. Normally I'd send Dacota and a few of the warriors to check it out.
But something wasn't right. I don't know what caused that feeling, but I just knew.
It was the kind of feeling that settled in your gut until you finally address or it came to pass.
Kade, my wolf, felt it too. He felt the moment they crossed into our territory.
He'd been restless the weeks prior to the attack on the pack, but he never said why.
Instead he elected to walk a damn hole in my head with all of his pacing back and forth despite how often I let him go on a run.
I suppose maybe he didn't know why either.
However, this was an odd incident in of itself. One, because of the number of rogues. Dacota had all but demanded that I come a scope out the scene for myself.
We've never had more than one or two rogues to test our resolve before. Seeing that many rogues made the Alpha in me feel like we were at war.
Two, these weren't just ordinary rogues. Ordinary rogues, are rogues that were banished by their previous pack for a multitude of reasons.
