"You son of a bitch!"

I took in the scene unfolding in front of me with absolute glee. I'm about to witness my brother get roasted alive.

I'm enjoying the suspense as shields himself with a very flammable paper towel in front of his face.

"Chill out Seraph!" He pleaded with her.

"No pun intended!" He tacks on as an after thought. Successfully making me laugh out loud, and Seraph even more pissed. I'm only making shit worse.

Do I care? Hmm, not really, no.

"If you keep that up, you're gonna be one kwispy ass Moon Blessed." I huffed out in between fits of laughter, earning a scowl from him.

"Come on! Let's be civil Seraph, put the powers away." Nixie says giggling her ass off and kicking her feet.

"No."

Welp. That'll do it.

Come on now, who couldn't have seen this coming? Seraph is literally the embodiment of a hot head. My brother always did like playing games with the wrong people at the worst possible times.

Not even gonna try to lie. I'd be pissed too. Seraph has been chasing Triton around the kitchen table with her hands, arms, and hair all covered in bluish-white flames.

All she wanted to do was to sit down eat her breakfast. Ass never even touched the chair, but kissed the floor instead. She might've brushed it off if he hadn't frozen her breakfast too.

"Nixie! Please, please, please do me one teensy tiny favor." He begs with pleading eyes.

"That would depend on the favor." She says with a giggle, chewing on a strip of bacon.

"Put her out. Just enough to put out the flames! Don't drown her."

Nixie looks at him like he grew three heads before shaking her head violently at the ridiculous suggestion.

"No, thank you. I'm good. She'd try evaporate my ass. Took me months to shape it the way I need it." She said titling her chin up in defiance.

The betrayal I saw on my brother's face made me laugh so hard I actually snorted.

But the situation was so hilarious that I couldn't find it in me to even care about being embarrassed.

"I'm sorry!" He exclaims before hiding behind me.

"Why are you hiding behind me?" I ask him in amusement.

"Because you're the only other one that can easily withstand the heat she puts out. So better you than me!

Besides, if something happens to me or she attacks you, then you'd just melt her ass." He rushed out before I could be offended.

"She'll come back around.. eh eventually. After all, she was supposed to be able to liquefy. She was built for that." He says in false confidence.

"Oh, is that what you think?" Seraph asked him.

"Yes." I mentally facepalmed. Would it have killed him to lie?

"Elian, move so I can kill your brother right quick." She asks me outright.

"Wait! It's not my fault you didn't notice your chair was missing!"
