Elian
No matter what I did, I just couldn't stop my mind from drifting off to my mate.
My soulmate.
Even as I walked through the Field of Crystals. A place you couldn't help, but to be in the moment. Yet, here I was in the thoughts of them.
In a place like this, if you weren't present, you'd miss the sheer beauty of it all. It was like our personal galaxy.
This field was somewhere I always came when I needed some time to myself or clear my head and heart.
Triton and I both buried trees here too.
I planted two Sun Crystal trees while Triton planted two Moon Crystal trees of his own.
Crystal trees looked similar to the trees you'd find on Earth. The only difference was that Crystal trees had parts of its trunk that were pure crystals.
In the crystals embedded naturally into its bark, you can see little swirls of pure magic coursing through them. Moving peacefully about the tree.
All of the Blesseds have trees planted here.
Some more than others of course. The only way to distinguish the trees were the colors of the crystals and the crystalized leaves.
Mine were more on the colorful side with it's various shades of transparent reds, oranges, yellows and even a few purples if the lighting was right.
Traditional warm colors.
Triton's had more of a transparent baby blues, greens, teals, and we shared a few shades of purple. Everyone else's were more monochromatic schemes.
There were a few leaves that hung about the scattered trees followed the color scheme.
But they were lightly crystalized. And for many of the branches, there were instead, purely composed of crystal pieces.
Sun and Moon crystals.
They could even be taken off the tree. I personally liked to keep some and bring them back to my room.
Maybe give to my mate as a gift. If even humans can use it's magic given the right teachings.
The magical element of given crystal would obviously depend on the tree, and it's only temporary.
In the middle, we planted a special tree. One where the responsibility of it's nourishment fell on the both of us.
One that only we can take care of.
A refractionary tree.
A refractionary tree is a difficult tree to cultivate on the basis that you needed both raw Moon and Sun Energy to nourish it.
As the tree grows, it starts to produce refractionary crystals. Crystals that consist of pure refractory magic.
Magic that only we can wield.
'We' being those of the Sun and Moon. Crystals that I may give to my mate one day soon.
Even as I stared at the beautiful tree in front of me and I kneeled down, prepared to care for it, I couldn't help but think of them.
I sense that something may be coming. Something is wrong and I know it. I can't pinpoint it, but I won't ignore it.
For now, I'd stay in tune with them. And when I land before them, I'd do my best to handle it then.
"Is it done?" I finally decided to ask my lion as I started to infused some of my magic into the base of tree. Triton's been here recently.
I can feel his magic intertwining with mine.
