I looked at my twin finally standing before me after what felt like eternity. I couldn't lie, I really missed that goofy grin on his stupid face, and it felt like so much has happened since I left home.

But right now, he was right.

I had to take my mate to somewhere private. Somewhere secure. The sigil marking has fully completed itself, and from the moment on, it was a permanent part of him and his wolf.

It's going to make him so much stronger than he'll ever know or could be prepared for.

It will only be a matter of time before he gives in to it. After we mate and I can make him mine, he'll find out just how much stronger he is.

The grin on my brother's face as he stared at me told me everything I needed to know. His mate had not been remotely difficult to find and they were in this pack.

He may not have acknowledged it directly, but context clues were more than enough to clue anyone in. With the way he immediately stood against me for growling at Dacota was enough.

He's never done that before. Playing or not.

And from the way Dacota backed away from him in shock, yet couldn't stop staring at him. He'd found his long awaited mate. Once he accepts and processes it, maybe he'll catch that drool going down the side of his mouth.

But I'm not going to mention it.

I looked down at my baby, slumped in my arms from total exhaustion and he was really out of it. He appeared almost dazed, but I can't blame him. His magic really wore him out and he still had heat to deal with now.

Releasing that kind of raw magic in one go would take down anyone. But he'd recover quickly. It's precisely things like this that he was meant to handle.

I feel so bad for putting him through all of this and I have no idea how to make it up to him. Maybe I can start by choosing a special place for our mating.

And do the real making it up while we're in heat. I'm going to do what I want and make him feel so loved and cared for.

And I'm going to take him home. To my home.

I want him to be away from all the prying ears and all the prying eyes. I want him to know that he can be as free and as loud as he want.

"Teagan, baby? You okay?" He shook his head and I didn't have anything to say to that.

"What's going to happen with him now?" One of the omegas stepped forward. She had a maternal warmth to her. It was all in how she carried herself and the way she looked at him.

She seemed so worried about him.

"Yeah, is there anything that we can maybe do for him?" One of the younger members asked. He looked like he was still a teenager. Few more of the teenage wolves nodding behind him.

Little by little, more wolves speak up to show their concern for their Alpha. A few offered to help us out however they could.

I felt warm inside.

Not only because I could finally see for myself that there were some people in the pack that really do care for him, but they were addressing me directly.
