It has always been you

Tinn and Gun have broken up after dating for 5 years. It has been 3 years since they have last seen each other or even been in communication with each other. Tinn was now a resident cardiologist at one of the most prestigious hospitals in Thailand and was dating a fellow colleague, Meen who is a dermatologist at the hospital. Gun on the other hand had just released his second comeback album which was really popular, finished filming 2 series one of them being a popular K-drama which was trending internationally and he was preparing on shooting another movie in Thailand. Everytime he was asked about his relationship status he always replied with, he is currently married to his career at the moment.

Tiw and Por were engaged to be married, together they owned a succesful production company and were the reason why everyone was supposed to be meeting today. Yo worked as a producer, married to his high school sweetheart, Pat worked as a lawyer and was still single. Win and Sound were still together, they were in a band together which was quite succesful in Thailand, everything was produced by Win. They were all meeting up together in celebration of TiwPor engagement and upcoming wedding. Tiw didn't see the need for a lengthy engagement so as soon as he proposed to Por, he pushed for them to get married as soon as possible.

Tiw, Por, Pat, Yo, Sound and Win were already at the resturant when Gun arrived. He was wearing black jeans, black graphic designer t-shirt with black platform boots and sunglasses with his hair parted, he had grown out his hair just a little bit. "Here comes our superstar." Tiw remarked when he saw Gun, Gun walked up to them after signing a few autographs for his fans. "Hello guys, and congratulations on the engagement " He said as he gave Por a hug before sitting down. "Looking good Gun, your style has really improved since high school." Sound said teasing Gun. "Well he probably has a personal stylist at this point, look at him with painted nails." Win added, this couple just had fun teasing Gun. They ordered drinks while catching up on each others' lives.

"I heard that Tinn is dating a hot dermatologist." Inquired Yo. Tiw Por nodded and added, "Yeah they have been together for almost a year now, they look really cute together." He was shortly elbowed by Por making him look at Gun who looked slightly tense as he gulped down on his glass of whiskey. "Oh sorry Gun, didn't mean to sound insensitive." Gun looked up at Tiw and shook his head, "What are you apologizing for, Tinn and I have broken up ages ago so it's only natural for us to move on." He said as he let out a nervous chuckle. "Speaking of moving on I saw on the internet rumors of you and korean actress Jisoo were a thing." Pat asked. "What? Those are just rumors, Jisoo and I are just close friends and colleagues." Gun answered. "So are you seeing anyone?" Tiw asked curiously. "Nah I am married to my career at the moment." Gun answered with a smile. "Oho such a celebrity answer." Win said, while others laughed.

Tinn walked over to his friends not noticing Gun at first, "Sorry guys my meeting ran a bit late today." He said greeting his friends while he took a sit next to Tiw. "Hello Tinn" Gun said, Tinn was taken a back he didn't expect to see Gun here today. "Gun... hi. I didn't expect to see you here today." He said. "Well of course I am here, I couldn't miss my bestfriend's wedding." Gun answered looking at Tinn. Tiw cleared his throat sensing the tension and asked Tinn if he wanted to order something as they had already ordered waiving at the waitress. Tinn put in his order. Throughout the lunch Tinn and Gun avoided making eye contact and directly talking to each other. "You guys still have each other's numbers right?" Tiw asked. Gun looked at Tinn then at Tiw. "Why?" Tinn asked looking at Tiw, "My numbers never changed." Gun said looking at Tinn. "Well you guys are best men to the grooms" Win answered. "Yeah so you will need to be in touch to be in contact with each other for best men duties. Sound added. They both nodded. The friends said their goodbyes and parted ways.

TINN'S POV

I can't believe Gun is back after so long. He looks so good now, he always looked good though. I cannot belive I am gonna have to be in contact with him again after so long. "Hey love" Meen said entering my consultation room."Hello babe." I answered with a smile. "Do you want to have dinner together today?" She asked. "I would love to but I have to attend the charity event held by my parents today. "Oh that's today, sorry love I forgot." She said smiling. "Uhm so you are coming along with me right? It will be a great opportunity for you to finally meet Tiw's partner, they will be both attending." I asked Meen. "That sounds great what time is it going to start?" She inquired. "It will be at 7h30 at the hotel near the hospital " I answered. "Okay but I will be a little bit late so I will meet you there na" she said giving me a peck on the cheek before heading out.

"Hey Tiw... Did you come alone? Where's your husband" I asked Tiw greeting him. "Hey Tinn, he is in the restroom. You know I can't be away from him for too long." Tiw replied, I shook my head and laughed. "It's a miracle you didn't follow him to the restroom." I answered. "I wanted to but alas he refused." Tiw answered in a dramatic manner. We both laughed before he asked "So where is your Mrs?" Asking noticing that I came alone. "She will be here just a little bit late." I answered and he nodded. "Please welcome to the stage khun Gun." The M.C said and my heart immediately fell to the ground. What is he doing here, Tiw looked at me and we both looked to the stage.

And there he was, looking amazing, wearing white flared out pants with a pink shirt with 3 buttons unbuttoned. He said his greetings and he began singing.

He sang and I was enchanted, I always loved his voice. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. They way he was slightly moving his body and engaging with the crowd. It makes sense how he became so succesful as a musician, he had this aura about him. We then made eye contact when he sang:

We maintained eye contact until the end of the song. I couldn't look away it felt like I was entranced by him. My heart rate accelerated, and at that moment I knew I was still madly in love with this man.
