Along with the thoughts of angels fluttering about in the heavens, another more sinister story was told to us. The demons of hell.

We were told that demons would tell us to do bad things and we must always listen to the angels on our shoulder. But as we grow older, we realize our actions are purely our responsibility.

In this world however, demons do exist. Just not the way we think of them as. Let's go beneath the earth to a place where fires never extinguish and chaos rules all.

Ryujin was just walking along the harsh and rough terrain of the Bloody Plateau, a well-known hotspot in hell for just doing anything.

She trotted along the edge, looking out into the hellscape. Fires suddenly spewing out from the ground, the occasional scream of terror, and the whizzing by demons.

A pretty calm scenario for Hell. People think Hell is somewhere that always reeks of destruction, evil, and torture. And it could not have been farther from the truth.

Hell is actually just a place where the souls of the people who didn't believe in the Divine Being above or opposed it go to, whether they were good or bad.

It's a place free from the normal social rules of the living and devoid of the social structure of Heaven. It's where anything can be done.

The underworld is divided into groups of demons and souls called legions. And in hell, there were three major legions: The Legion of the Damned, Legion of Chaos, and the most powerful, The Legion of the Black Scarlet.

The latter is where Ryujin belongs, being the daughter of the Devil of the legion, she is the second most powerful behind the Devil.

The three legions are neutral with each other, keeping peace for the most part. The only fights happening between them is with small groups of unruly spirits.

Ryujin was sitting at the edge of a ledge, just admiring the view from where she sat. Letting her thoughts just run wild in her head.

She enjoys being in a quiet place, alone from everything else. It makes her feel at ease, escaping from the normal duties she has to attend to.

"Ryujin!"

Though this moment of peace was cut short when a voice reverberated from behind her. Ryujin looked back to see a fast approaching, bird-like figure. It landed a good distance from her.

The wings covered the entire body of the figure but revealed itself when she spread them out. It was the Devil herself, Ryujin's mother.

She was wearing a bloodred dress with an open back for her eye-catching wings. It span twice her length on both wings, being jet black on top as it gradually faded into dark red creating a gradient.

She had black horns twisting a little to the front. Her eyes were sharp and fear-striking. Hair was black as the night sky. She exudes an aura of power and confidence, inducing terror in anyone who sees her.

"Ryujin, I've been looking everywhere for you. You know you have a lot to do today!" She scolded her daughter for sneaking off from her.

The girl sighed as she got up from her place, facing her mother. "I know, but I've been busy in the past like... century! I need a break sometimes, you know?"

She looked at her daughter with sympathy, sighing as she did so. "I know Ryu, but you still have a lot to learn about so many things."

"I thought Hell was devoid of rules. Why are we creating societies that oppose that?" Ryujin questioned her, not getting why this needed to be done.
