Chapter 10

Ryujin was walking the streets, searching for the demon since if the angel is here then the demon isn't far behind. It weirded her out that she hadn't stumbled upon any of her friends yet, making her suspicious and alert.

Her thoughts drift once again to the angel she met earlier as she wanders around the city. This time, she thought why heaven would only send her.

It was pretty clear that the angel was powerful but the demon seems too big of a task even for someone like her. Heck, Ryujin couldn't even catch it even if she wanted to.

"Maybe... she's actually more powerful than I had thought? Whatever, I need to focus." She shook her head of those thoughts and continued to look for the evil spirit.

Just then, a blue glow was seen in the sky and Ryujin looked up to see what it was. The glow was encompassing seemingly the whole city. As it went through her, she momentarily felt weak and fell on her knees.

The charm Wooyoung had put on began to glow and eventually she was able to stand up again. Ryujin looked at her shoulder to see the charm had activated.

"The angel used a spell on the whole city? Maybe she is capable of catching the demon alone." She saw a white light gently descending down on top of a building.

"Must've used a lot of energy..." Ryujin then decided to go towards the angel to make sure she's okay. With her powers, she quickly ran towards her destination at full speed. She hoped the angel was okay.

She turned street corners, passed intersections, and climbed walls to get there sooner. When she did, she noticed that the angel was flying again. She was able to see her white angelic wings protruding from her back as she ascended.

'Beautiful...' Ryujin thought.

She then saw her charge at something and quickly went to follow. Ryujin hid behind a building once she got there, and saw a swarm of demons encroaching onto the angel.

She only watched in shock as the angel tried her best to fend off every demon she saw. Ryujin was stuck in her place, not able to move and just watched the scene. She was confused by how many there were.

'I thought it was only one?' She thought, her eyes not faltering from the intense fight that broke out.

She was put out of her trance when the angel got hit, sending her swords flying out of her hand. Ryujin was about to jump in when she thought that the angel would see her in her demon form.

She thought of what to do before remembering Yeonjun's charm. "Help!" Immediately, the charm glowed but now light paths were created. Last time Yuna used it, light appeared where she was located.

"What's happening? Why isn't it working? Help!" Ryujin tried again desperately, but the charm only glowed. Ryujin was running out of options, she looked back at the scene and saw the angel being stepped on by one of the demons.

"Shit!" She exclaimed as she saw the demon's foot press harder on the dominion's back. Her eyes slowly closed from the pain and exhaustion she was feeling.

With no time to lose, Ryujin jumped out of her place and rushed down towards the group of demons. With rage, she let her wings spread out from her back and horns grew out of her head.

Her hands turned to claws as she charged the demon stepping on the angel. She did a powerful jump towards the evil spirit, knocking it back. She gripped its neck and crushed it in her hands, disintegrating the demon to black smoke.

She turned around and saw she was surrounded. They had their saber at the ready, awaiting Ryujin's next move. In a swift motion, Ryujin closed her wings in on herself before spreading them back open, sending a whiplash of wind towards the demons.
