The four demons were now back in their home dimension. Everyone was anxious about what they'll tell the devil about their mission.
They are now in front of the Black Scarlet's gate, awaiting their entrance into the legion. Wooyoung picked on his skin as they waited, while Yeonjun continually messed with his hair.
Yuna was shifting on her position from time to time and Ryujin was a complete mess in her head. A million thoughts and scenarios played in her head about how this could all go wrong.
She knew that her friends were also as anxious as her so she opted to not show her distress. They need someone to lean on just in case, and Ryujin would be that person for them.
"Everything's gonna be fine." She heard Yeonjun say to Wooyoung. It sounded like he was convincing himself more than calming the other down.
Even though the yellow-haired spellcaster picks on Wooyoung, he still has great care for him. They both do, for each other. The two basically acted as brothers even if they were different people in their mortal lives.
The gates opened as the Daigon pulled on the ropes of the door. The four walk inside the bustling legion, fallen souls inhabit the streets and self-constructed homes.
Houses were built with scraps and materials found in the area. It looked like the slums everywhere in the legion. Although they lived in such a place, the souls were happy and content.
Just having somewhere to live in this bizarre world is already enough for them. The devil of the legion did her best to provide for these poor souls even though she didn't have to.
The group walked along the gravel path that led to the fortress at the center of the legion. Some of the souls greet them with a smile as they return it with guilt. What would they think if they knew what had happened?
They were now standing in front of the fortress, Ryujin opening the door to let her friends in. As she closed it behind, footsteps were heard coming in their direction.
"Whatever happens, we got your back." Yuna said to the short-haired demon as she noticed her trembling hands.
She looked over to see her friends give encouraging smiles, silently saying they weren't gonna leave her.
"Ryujin, you're back!" The excited voice of her mother spoke to her. She looked at her with a trying smile to hide her nerves. "Mom! H-how have you been?"
"I've been fine. How about you? What happened to the demon?" She asked the question they've been dreading. Silence followed the inquiry, no one was answering her.
Hwayoung waited for an answer but nothing came up which made her worried. "Did something happen? Are you alright?" She kneeled down to her daughter, checking for any injury.
"Uhm... we're fine, and... the demon has been dealt with. It will no longer terrorize the humans on Earth." Ryujin explained, hoping her mother wouldn't ask any deeper.
Her mother then smiled about the news, proud that Ryujin and her friends were able to take care of the lingering problem. "Oh finally! I knew I could count on you." She hugged her with gratitude.
Ryujin awkwardly hugged back as her friends silently watched them bond. "I'll inform the other devils immediately. They are in the Blood Pool actually."
Her daughter froze up when she heard that. She hoped with everything that all will be well. She looked back at her friends who were equally as terrified as her.
Hwayoung led them to the secret entrance to the Blood Pool where, true to her word, the devils of the other two major legions were.
The four bow to their superiors as the devils greet them with nods and small smiles. The devil of the Black Scarlet stood tall, ready to let know of the good news.
