"You're covered in it! None of it made it to your mouth!"

I smiled fondly, laughing every once in a while, as I watched Amanda trying to clean up an ice cream and frozen yogurt covered Ezra. He did so good at his dentist appointment that I decided to let him have both when he requested them.

Rookie mistake.

Somehow Ezra ended up wearing more of the sweets than eating them. But, I couldn't help but think he looked adorable nonetheless. Ezra was giggling, trying to squirm away from Amanda, though there wasn't far he could go since he was in his highchair.

Once we left the dentist appointment and got the ice cream and fro-yo, Ezra ended up slipping into little space for the first time in a few days. I'm sure it was a relief for him to finally be able to destress in this way after being sick for as long as he was.

"Trey! Help me!" Amanda called out, attempting to hold his arms down. I chuckled, standing of from my seat at the other side of the table, taking the wet wipe from Amanda to attempt cleaning Ezra up.

Even me trying to help didn't change anything, he was still trying to fight it. "Looks like you're getting and early bath then" I told him, seeing as it was only 4 o'clock and his bath time was usually around 7:30. He instantly started shaking his head.

"Ezzy no want bath!"

"See, Ezzy doesn't have a choice if he wants to be clean"

"Ezzy no wanna be clean!" He shot back, pouting, crossing his arms over his chest. "Then Ezzy doesn't get to cuddle with daddy" I shrugged, turning to walk away. "No, Ezzy wanna cuddle" He began to whine, which then turned to him starting to cry.

I certainly hadn't intended for this to happen. I rushed back, scooping him into my arms, attempting to get him to calm down. "Daddy didn't mean it baby" I shushed him, swaying back and forth in an attempt to calm him down.

By this point, I didn't even care that he was covered in cookies n' cream ice cream and vanilla fro-yo. All I cared about was making him feel better. I hadn't meant for him to take my words so literally. But, I have to remember, he's little right now, making it harder for him to understand when I'm only joking.

It took several minutes to calm him down, but even once he was calm, he wouldn't let me put him down.

Not that I was complaining.

However, we no longer had to convince him to take a bath. Although, actually getting him in the tub was still a bit of a struggle. The only to get him to sit still was giving him one of his pacifiers.

He's so spoiled.

"Looks like you'll be going to bed early" I told him, washing the ice cream and fro-yo out of his hair. He shook is head, pouting around the pacifier, and crossed his arms over his chest.

I shook my head as a smile formed on my face at his stubbornness. But also because he just looked so cute when he was trying to seem mad.

"No choice, baby boy, can't stay up all night"

"Nuh uh" He said around the pacifier. "Don't you wanna wake up with energy tomorrow, love" Again, he shook his head, furrowing his brows.

"But if you don't get enough sleep, daddy can't take you to the park"

Ezra's face immediately softened.

"Park wif daddy?" He lisped around his pacifier. "Yes baby, park with daddy" I chuckled, rinsing the shampoo out of his hair.
