"Daddy, Ezzy's tummy hurts" I pouted, as I plopped myself down into daddy's lap. He was sitting on the couch watching tv with Amanda when I walked in the room. "Well, I'm sure it does, Bug" He shook his head, wrapping his arms around my waist. "You did eat 4 cupcakes, without any real food."
"Cupcakes is food, daddy" My bottom lip jutted out further, causing Amanda to reach over and poke it gently. "Put the lip away, munchkin" She grinned. "You'll be okay" I nodded, before saying, "Only if daddy rubs my tummy"
I gave him the sweetest pouty face and puppy dog eyes I could, in hopes that he would actually rub my tummy for me. "Anything for my little lovebug" Daddy smiled, genuinely, which caused me to smile as well.
He had me turn around, so I was sitting with my back to his chest, and began rubbing my stomach over the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt I was wearing, which just so happened to be one of the ones I took from his closet.
It's not like he needed it anyways, he's a grown up.
I smiled a bit, thinking about our day at the park, which gave me an idea. We should take Amanda to the park with us next time. As long as it's not a day where she has to go into work. Daddy rested his head on top of mine and began humming softly as he rocked side to side just a bit. I closed my eyes, just focusing on the sound of him humming, and smiled a little bit.
"I want ice cream" I announced after a few minutes of comfortable silence. Daddy chuckled, and I could feel him shaking his head from where it was still resting on top of mine. "Didn't you just say your tummy hurts, Bug?" He asked, I could tell he was amused from the tone of his voice. "Mhm, but ice cream would make Ezzy feel better" I tried to reason with him.
Daddy turned me around slightly, so I was now sitting sideways in his lap. "Ice cream would make your tummy hurt worse, babe" He told me, never moving his hand from where it was rubbing small circles on my stomach.
It was definitely helping.
I thought about it for a second, deciding that daddy was right. "Hmm, ice cream later then?" I asked hopefully. Daddy just smiled at me, nodding gently. "As long as you promise you won't make a mess" He poked my tummy softly, making me giggle.
"Mhm! I promise, daddy!" I nodded back. Daddy looked over at Amanda, who was fully focused on the show they had been watching before I came in.
"Is that okay with you?" Daddy asked her. "He's your little, these decisions are yours to make now, Trey" She said with a shrug. "Just remember, you can't always be his friend, he needs discipline sometimes too" She added.
I tilted my head to the side slight, confused on what she meant by that. But I decided against asking, in case it was something I wasn't supposed to know about yet anyways.
"You just reminded me," Daddy said. " I wanna talk to you about something next time you're big, Ezzy" He told me, twisting some of my hair around his fingers. I nodded, a wave of confusion and a bit of fear washing over me. I brushed the feeling off, deciding to go get Leon and Arlo since they were probably missing me.
Okay, it's really just because I miss them.
I climbed out of daddy's lap, only stopping when he grabbed my hand. "Where you goin, Bug?" He asked, rubbing my knuckles gently. "Gotta get Arlo and Leon" Daddy nodded, letting my hand go, allowing me to run off to my room. I grabbed both Arlo and Leon off my bed, deciding to grab one of my fairies as well, before going back down to the living room, climbing back into Daddy's lap once I was there.
"Who's this one?" Manda asked, pointing to the fairy in my lap. I held her up, smiling. "Fawn!" I told her happily. Fawn had become my favorite over Silvermist in a short amount of time, due to her being an animal fairy.
As everyone knows, I love animals. Manda smiled at me fondly, and went back to watching whatever show was on the tv. "Daddy, can I have a bunny?" I asked suddenly, thinking of one Secret of The Wings when Fawn was helping all the animals cross the boarder into the winter woods. The part with the bunny was my favorite.
"Yeah, sure, we can go get one right now"
Just as I was about to show my excitement, Manda spoke up. "I think he means a real bunny Trey" She chuckled. "Oh," Daddy turned to me rubbing my arm soothingly. "Well, I'm not sure about that, Bug.." He told me calmly. I instantly pouted, upset with Manda for telling him the truth behind my question. "But, why?" I asked, frowning.
"A bunny is a big responsibility for someone so little, like you, baby" I shook my head at his words, knowing I was responsible enough for a bunny. "Ezzy is not little" I protested crossing my arms over my chest. Daddy's eyebrow raised, amusement clearly taking over his expressions. "Oh, he isn't?" I once again, shook my head, disagreeing with the him calling me little.
"Nuh uh, I'm a big boy"
"Big boys don't wear diapers, munchkin" Manda chimed in. "Meanie" I mumbled in her direction, before my full attention was back on daddy. "How about this," He started. "I get you your very own fishy, and if you can take care of that like a big boy, daddy will think about getting you a bunny" I wanted to argue about it so badly, but i knew that would only make it worse, so I gave in.
"Okay" I said quietly. "So, we have a deal?" Daddy asked. "Yes" My voice barely above a whisper.
If this was what it was going to take for me get a real life bunny, I was willing to deal with it.
